    Has anyone ever checked the perpendicularity of the bore to the cylinder flange surface and found it to be off?

    Hello 🖐🏻👍🏻I have seen the video, I think this is good I do with the three-legged burnisher, with pneumatic pressure, what if I want to apprehend is to make the measurement of the barrel of the cylindro, what should I have to do it? And another question after the burnisher I must pass some special sandpaper, because the face of the cylindro is opaque by the friction of the stones of the burnisher, thank you ...

    That doesn't account for a choked cylinder. How do you hone a choked cylinder?

    • @akcylinders
      @akcylinders  Před rokem

      Hello! Good question. Honing process for a choked cylinder is actually the same! Choke is only a few thousandths so the stones will be a little tighter in the choked area of the bore, but honing doesn’t take very much anyway. When we BORE the cylinder we can adjust the stroke of the stones so we can get a different dimension at different depths. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

    What is honning?

    • @akcylinders
      @akcylinders  Před 3 lety +2

      Honing is a process of conditioning the surface of the cylinder wall to help with lubrication of the piston rings during operation. Honing creates fine crosshatch imperfections on the surface of the cylinder bore. You can think of these imperfections as peaks and valleys in the surface of the metal.

      @@akcylinders Are these brand new cylinders? Are they honed from the factory?
