Yes, I need to do this also. I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who has a messy sewing room. Most of my yarn is out in the storage building with most of my knitting needles and hooks. I have learned the hard way, that some fabrics do not store well (or at all.) I need to locate those fabric and remove them from my sewing room/home (but not pass them on because they are trash). They will make a wonderful fire starter (when the weather is better) to help burn the brush pile.
I need to move the shelves on both of my shelf units (so that I can sit heavy large plastic boxes on the floor under the shelves (not on them). This will give me two extra shelves for smaller boxes. Just knowing where my things are stored and getting the dust out, should make me feel better. Thank you for this video.
I am so glad I could inspire you to deal with your own messy sewing room! It definitely makes a huge different to know where everything is and to have a less dusty sewing room made a HUGE difference! 😄
I know you mentioned before that some fabrics do not store well. What lessons have you learnt by this (sad) discovery?
Aaw I love seeing your LCF tote bag and set up! Makes me feel better to know other people who also have unfinished projects and that there are some things you’ll be organising at another time. I feel like tidying us can seem like a huge task when not broken down.
An organisation tip that was a game changer for me is to store duvet covers in their matching pillowcase. It makes it so much easier to store and grab when changing sheets 🌸
So true! That's why I thought I will show a more realistic/manageable clean up so that people can see that it doesn't need to be a big deep clean all at once. 😊
And thank you for that organisational tip! It make so much sense to store the duvet cover inside the pillow case - but yet I have never done it 😝
