I wouldn't mind getting Reign of Fire on 4k
Underrated film. I would love this
Me too.
Can't believe it has been that long since the movie was in theaters. Enjoyable film but it certainly isn't a must own. Thanks for the review. Adam's review of the film itself is 100% accurate
Not actually seen this one. Thanks for the insights, great video.
Love this movie and is a guilty pleasure - can't beat having Sean Connery as Draco. I still remember buying this movie (in 1997) along with Jurassic Park on Laserdisc with DTS - made me upgrade my receiver to DTS. I was stoked when the DVD w/DTS released in 1999 and somewhat disappointed with the 2012 blu-ray release.
Glad to hear the improved picture and will add this to my upgrade list to buy. Thanks for the review.
My wife absolutely adores this one so I definitely wanna get it for her. Good to know that the transfer is good. Thanks Adam!
Not seen this movie but got it on DVD and was tempted to watch it just out of curiosity
Wish they’d use original poster art for more older releases. I enjoyed the film as a kid. CG hasn’t aged all that well which sucks but I’m sure I will find some enjoyment in the movie again.
The Turbine release blu ray has awesome Atmos. I think I'll probably just stick with that.
The Turbine release also has a great Auro3D track disc
@@IMADEREK I bet! I wish I had a setup that would allow Auro3d
I was going to get it, until I found out no audio upgrade.
It is weird they did not include the Auro 3-D mix like what’s on the European edition of this film and that’s just a Blu-ray
This movie was one of my favorites as a kid. And OF COURSE the effects don't hold up today. But I still got this. I don't care. haha
My favourite childhood film! What did you think of it?
@@alexanderheenan7004 You know what? They did a great job on this movie, it looks great on 4k and way better than i remember watching it on tv growing up. The upgrade helped the visual effects look way better.
Adam, I agree with you in regard to DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio tracks. Many older movies use it on their home releases and Christopher Nolan uses it on all of his movies. The DTS track on Interstellar expanded out by Neural:X is astounding as are the ones on his Batman movies, Dunkirk, Inception etc. In many instances expertly mixed DTS-HD MA 5.1 tracks are better than so so Dolby Atmos tracks. Auro-3D also does an excellent job of expanding 5.1 audio tracks. I've always found, in some cases, , DTS audio to be more to my liking than Dolby. In those cases DTS is heavier and more dynamic. There are, of course, very good DolbyTrue 7.1 and Atmos tracks but it's nice that all modern AVRs let you select whatever audio mode sounds best to you. Oh, and I love Dragonheart. Sean Connery's Draco is worth getting it aone but, overall, it's a very entertaining movie with a wonderful music score.
The video is not 4K quality I’ve seen it
