Jesus was a Buddhist monk. He visited India, had been to various holy places and finally to the shrine of a Buddhist monk named Achintya. Jesus said to Achintya " the place I belong to is uncivilized. they wont understand these things." Then Achintya wrote a framework and handed it to Jesus. Jesus easily molded that framework into a way today known as Christianity. After all Jesus was no more than a human. His disciples altered his preachings and concocted bible which a rational mind cannot accept. These are usually discussed in our family and were a matter of discussion in generations. You guys are aware of these things now.

Actually Jesus trained with Buddhists to reach nirvana and harness his chi energy. There were no missing years, and that was cut from the Bible so those in power could keep control over the populations because they don't want us to know we all can do what he did.

obviously u don't understand the teaching of the buddha dhamma. he taught how to end mental suffering, he even taught a method of practice to end suffering. buddha didn't just talk philosophy sitting under the bodhi tree. today science has confirm that meditation helps reduces stress; i haven't heard anything scientist can prove about jesus healing the sick. buddha method is an experiential way of dealing with unhappiness from emotions while we alive, not when we dead.

Jesus is, in a way, original. Why shouldn't we listen to both of them? Their teachings complete each other:
Buddha taught the way to overcome psychological suffering of greeding, hate and ignorance by meditation and understanding of anitta, anatta and dukkha.
Jesus taught to hope the end of physical suffering by trying to change the world with love. Moreover he said that the Absolute love us. Both of they are great!

    Did Jesus learn Buddhism?
While preaching the gospel in the region where He was born, Jesus never mentioned about Buddhism; instead He often quoted Bible verses from the Old Testament. Further, there is no mention of Buddhism in the whole Holy Bible. He is Son of God, He is supposed to know all things. He was able to perform many miracles; He was also able to prophesy events in the future. Was Buddhism so difficulty/useful to Him that He had to learn it from mortal men? The Holy Bible says He created heavens and earth, and things on earth, including men. Did He need to learn things from the men created by Him?

Peter Lee Jesus thought that he was "a" son of God, not "the" son of god. He tried to point out to everyone else that you also are "a" son of god. Buddha thought that enlightenment is feasible for us all. Both seemed to be trying to guide us to look inside to find enlightenment, god, ultimate truth, spirit, or whatever other terms you would rather use. It's very interesting.

mam somal Jesus Christ is God; He became man in order to die for men for their sins on the cross. The Holy Bible says there is only one God (trinity God: the Holy Spirit, the Son, the Father) and there are no other gods. So all other gods are fake, or idol gods.
Buddha was a mortal man; he was sinner; he did not claim to be god. His philosophy to save himself was only a human method which cannot satisfy God for the salvation; Jesus Christ is the ONLY salvation from God; there is no other method to be saved.

E Owens He , full filled the Vedic Texts like he did the Bible - here's a theory . Christ was in The Temple teaching and talking with The Priest in Israel at 12 , we didn't see him again , until he was 29 years old . then he went into the Dessert and fought Satan himself , he as in the Flesh was 100% man . The flesh apposes the Spirit - Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." His Spirit and Flesh would have to become one . and The only Priest in his day that would have this understanding would have been in India He didn't go there to learn per say , but that would have given him a place to become one with his spirit , and why not teach the teachers while he's there ? Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. a good teacher will never ask his pupils to do anything he's not willing to do himself .

What the early Church taught and practiced and what "St." Paul did to overthrow it, are two different things. Early Christianity gave equal status to women for Church offices (they drew lots) and Roman style hierarchy was non-existent. This video is centered on Kashmir, which in those days was a major hub of Buddhist activity. There are even ancient paintings of Celtic looking Buddhist monks. Monks traveled so much further than most people realize; they were even known to have been in ancient Egypt! Having spent many years as a Catholic and studying early Church documents, I do believe that Jesus was highly influenced by Buddhism, if not directly trained as a monk. Imo, he was a Bodhisattva who came to lead those in darkness toward the light.

Things to consider before my deciding to follow a religion:
    - The origin/existence of the religion's leader
    - Truth in the teachings: possibility to be proven in a neutral way (science). First, Look at the teachings as theories which may be true or not true. Second, prove it through facts or science. Teachings proven by truth or real evidence are likely to be true while teachings proven by theories, mouth, tradition or belief are just doubtful theories or superstitions
    - Most importantly, Practicalism in the teachings: benefits to my life and others' life, mental and moral values. Truth may sometimes hurt while messages of untruth may be meaningful!
Hope you all - followers of any religion - have no dispute and do not insult each other. Keep yourselves mindful and Bless you!

Jesus is my Lord and savior; I believe he died on the cross and was resurrected; but Jesus also said that he must go and speak to other folds. Many years ago I assumed that other folds meant aliens haha (we learn as we go); but I find it most plausible that he ascended into heaven and (maybe) went to be with the monks; live off his earthy body. Jesus is more than just divine-he's a divine dimension. I'm pretty sure the creator of everything could juggle both tasks. It's what makes the most sense to me, at least as of now.

Buddha said, ‘If someone is suffering, that is his karma.’ You are not to interfere karma because he is purging himself through suffering. The only people who took care of the 300,000 were the Christians from various Christian relief organizations. In Christianity people have a basis for human value. For them, these people are of ultimate value, so valuable that Jesus Christ died for them. You find that value in no other religion, in no other philosophy, but in Jesus Christ.

What this video tells, is truth. Majority of Idiot Mullahs are unable to grasp a very subtle point from centuries that *Quran never denies nailing of Jesus on Cross in Quranic verse **4:15**7, but forcefully denies his death on Cross*. History and Bible also confirm that Jesus survived death on Cross. When you tell this point to Mullahs and even to Ignorant Ph.D Mullahs; they will immediately response: O what are U talking; Quran denies his crucifixion in 4:157. But Mullahs fails to understand that *Quran does not deny his nailing on Cross but denies his Crucifixion. What is Crucifixion?* Definition of Crucifixion is "TO KILL someone after binding him or nailing him on CROSS". So it is very Clear that *DEATH on Cross is binding-Condition of Crucifixion*. If some one is nailed on Cross and was removed from Cross before his death; the Truest statement will be: "Though he has been attempted to Crucify but is NOT CRUCIFIED. When we translate NOT CRUCIFIED into Arabic; its words will be "WA MA SALABU"; and that are the exact words which appear in Quranic verse 4:157. Mullah again mislead Ignorant Muslims when they translate verse 4:158. This verse uses word *RAFA* which mean TO RAISE in honor, spiritual exaltation, and never to raise to heavens physically. Quranic Verses 3:144, 3:55, and 5:116-117 make very clear that thu Jesus did not die on Cross but died at very old age (Kahlan) naturally.
It is common practice of Idiotic Mullahs that, when U tell them Truth of Quran and history; they will immediately label U a Qadiani. But truth is; that thu Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani was an impostor but majority of Mullahs are much bigger liars than even Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani.
So far we have discussed idiot Mullahs; and let we discuss now fraudulent Church. If we read 4 Gospels of today of Mark Mathew Luke and John; you will read story of Physical ascension and return of Jesus. But when we read with our own eyes each line of above-mentioned 4 Gospels of 4th Century; we did not find even ANY TINY NANO trace of any ascension and return of Jesus in any gospel. That clearly proves; that Bibles has been heavily corrupted, and Church added this fiction of ascension and return, centuries later in Bibles. This also proves that Bibles are not reliable Books at all. Never trust all quotation from Bibles.
*When we dig deep;* we know that after landing of Quran in 7th century; People started to convert to Islam at high speed. That made Church very upset. They finally planned to add fiction of ascension and Return of Jesus in Gospel of Mark in order to show converts that Christianity is superior to Islam. Missionary were telling, new converts, LOOK: Mohammad is on ground but Jesus is sitting alive on the right hand of GOD in heavens. Later other Gospels writers copied that fiction from Gospel of Mark. Besides; during Abbasid Period from 750-1258 A.D; Church also manged to forge many many hadiths and blended in Hadith Books that today Idiot Mullahs and their pets follow blindly. Books of Hadith-Crap were forged 250-400 years after the death of Prophet Mohammad by Persian Imams who were in fact Zoroastrian hypocrites, and their Books are heap of fabricated lies. *When Prophet Mohammad died; he left behind nothing except written Quran*.
*Now it was turn of our Idiot Persian Pseudo Mullahs to counter fiction of Church* that is already mentioned above. Persian Pseudo Mullahs (Half Zoroastrians and half Muslims) hunted two birds with one arrow. They forged hadith of Miraaj (Night Journey of Prophet Mohammad) in which they show that Prophet Mohammad was riding on a mysterious flying donkey labeled as Boraaq, and that flying donkey was proceeding to heavens so that Prophet could have meeting with GOD. Now Mullahs could answer Christian Missionaries that if Jesus is gone up and then Mohammad is also gone up for a meeting with GOD. It was kind a car-race between Mullahs and Church. Please note, there is no any such flying donkey mentioned in BOOK OF GOD "Quran'. Sura Asra and Najam of Quran only points to night Journey of Prophet from Mecca to Madina . Masjid Aqsa in Sura Asra mean REMOTE MOSQUE. That remote mosque at that time was no where but in Madina. Aqsa-mosque in Palestine was built many years after the death of Prophet by Omayyad caliphs. During that invention of Hadith of Miraaj, Persian Imams also blended 5 Zoroastrian Rituals in Hadith of Miraaj and told Muslims; Prophet has brought 5 Rituals from GOD during his meeting with GOD in heavens. Please note that Quran ordains to Establish Salaat mean Divine System, and never 5 daily rituals.

Hindu Siddhartha felt that Hinduism had lost its true essence by the incorporation of thousands of gods, represented by Idols. In his attempts to reform, he renounced gods, he felt the concept of gods was holding people bound to world of karma and suffering. What is so interesting is how idolatry, which Buddha was condemned, has become such a major part of Buddhism, with its many shrines and statues of Buddha, the very one who loathed them. For these many people, Buddha has become their god !!!

I was a Tibetan Buddhist living in a Buddhist community, now I am a Christian, one day in Jan 2009 I was born again through the Holy Spirit. It was totally unexpected and unlooked for. I had no interest or respect for "evangelical" Christianity. Many people say that Jesus' message is the same as all other religious/spiritual teachers, but what is this conclusion based on? its pure assumption. This assumption is easily made when people don't really know what Jesus full teaching is/was because they haven't taken the time to read the New Testament. How can anyone make judgements about the Buddha if they don't know what are the doctrines that the Buddha taught? For starters, Buddha taught that individual self- hood (the experience being a "person" -me) is a 100% illusion and doesn';t correspond to reality, also our physical existence is illusion. The realisation of "annatta" ( no-self), is the fundamental attainment that causes the cessation of samsaric existence. When this is attained, individuality, and the (illusion) 0f material creation ceases to exist, (Nirvana). Jesus teaches that YHWH is the one true God, according to this God (and Jesus): individual personhood is not an illusion, but we really are individual personalities because God is an individual person and we are made in his image. The end state/goal of Christianity is the receiving of an immortal physical body and the preservation of each individual person for eternity in order to have fellowship/relationship with a personal God (it takes two people to have a relationship)in a renewed and perfected material creation, The end of Buddhism is the total dissolution of personality into an undifferentiated, impersonal “oneness” which is immaterial. How can these 2 accounts of spiritual reality both be correct? From the Biblical perspective the Buddhist goal to systematically and irreversibly transcend personhood is an attempt to destroy the image of God in us, and to eliminate the creature that God created. It’s like spiritual suicide. Buddha says suffering (Dukkha) is rooted in the illusion of self - in other words, having personhood IS the problem: evil is an inseperable effect of personhood. But Jesus affirms YHWH who says that human personhood is the greatest and most valuable creation of God, the problem is sin, Which perverts and defiles the person and THIS is the cause of suffering - as it seperates us from the life of God. This problem of sin was dealt with by God by “sending His son, in the likeness of sinful man, to be an offering for sin and so condemning (ending the defiling problem of sin) in man “ Romans 8. faith in Jesus and his atoning sacrifice on our behalf and for our sin is the only condition for our renewal to an immortal sin free, suffering free future existence as individual people. Although there are commonalities between |Buddhism ad Christianity with regard to ethical/moral conduct, the fundamental contradictions of doctrine should not be ignored. Jesus himself says “ whoever does not honour the Son does not honour the Father” John 8? and “if you hold to my teaching you are really my disciples, then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” John 8:31?. anyone committed to a Buddhist belief system and practice does not honour the Son or hold to his teaching, as they would have to deny that what Jesus teaches is true or trustworthy. If faith In Christ is the means to salvation, Buddhists don’t have faith in Christ or in what he teaches. Jesus says in John that people’s eternal future depends on whether or not they believe his testimony and accept him as the unique Christ of God. Its heavy stuff I know, but there it is, - read the Gospels , especially John. And also the apostle’s teaching; they explain and expound the full meaning of what’s in the Gospels - he commanded them to do this very thing (Luke 24/ Matthew 28). People say “ but that’s not Jesus”, in fact Jesus says that whatever the apostles teach IS HIM speaking through them by the Holy Spirit, so if you believe Jesus speaks the truth then you must believe the apostles do too. That’s why He says about the disciples “ whoever rejects your message rejects me and whoever accepts your message accepts me”. People also say that Jesus never said anything about him dying for people’s sins. This is not true, he plainly teaches this in all four gospels. Jesus teaches that no one can see or enter the "kingdom of God" unless he is born again of the spirit. (John 3) there is in Buddhism , if you look further into scriptures to find out what is the nature and effects of this new birth, you will find that there is no reference or knowledge within Buddhism of the very thing which Jesus says is essential for eternal life. I can testify that what Jesus says about the new birth is true and that it is totally supernatural, involving no spiritual or other effort effort on our part. It happens when you hear and believe "the word of the Son of man" (John 5) for me , I had no conscious involvment in it at all, it was all a total shock, but it changed my life forever. PRAISE GOD!! I was hopelessly and horibly lost despite pursuing Buddhist and other (meditation based) practices for nearly 20 years.

Buddhism seems to be more of a way of mind than a religion. It has been very influential for Western psychology. Unlike other traditions labeled "religion" there is no deity in Buddhism. What seems, at my naive state, is that the ultimate goal in Buddhism, of nirvana, results in a sort of benign anesthesia, rather than any sort of real fulfillment of human potential.

Very interseting but there's no-way anyone would have survived a Roman crucifiction, they were experts. Sound more reasonable to think it was one of his followers who went out to all parts of the world after the dispersal from jerusulem (50-70 AD) and the story has got a bit confused. That might be less fun to believe but far more plausible.

I think that's complete bullshit and this documentary is just theorizing so don't take any of this as fact. Why would the Romans give him a drug so he could survive? The whole point of crucifixion is to kill you. Period. They wanted Jesus dead. He died within 6 hours because he was flogged half to death and was bleeding to death from his wounds, the human body can only take so much with that much trauma. The other ones lasted for days because they weren't flogged like that therefore they would last longer because there isn't that much damage to the body. I don't think very many people think that one through.
