i dont rly feel empty in the morning its more of either im still super sleepy or that i feel super anxious. with that, ive recently started writing morning pages and its helped me a lot to reflect (i guess its the same as when u vlog, it also makes u reflect).

I definitely can relate to the feeling you're talking about Michelle, I think it's one of the reasons why I enjoy watching your videos. It's nice to know that someone else out there feels the way I do sometimes, my family tells me it's because of this or that but honestly I cant tell whether its me or my environment. Sometimes I feel so empty and I start thinking "go with the flow" but when I get that mindset I feel like people think they can take advantage of me and idk I'll probably go on and write an essay but instead I'll just say where I stand now.....I think I need to grow and gain more perspective to truly understand where this numbness comes from.

I actually feel that morning emptiness as well, even thought I live with my family. I tried starting the three morning pages thing ( you're basically writing all the negative/sad thoughts that are going through your head in the morning) and it actually helped a lot! maybe you should try that and see if it helps you as well

You’re not alone in feeling that.
I started getting treatment for bipolar depression (AKA, manic depression) after I saw a psychiatrist. I had gone cause I had a feeling that the symptoms I had might be related to depression, as I have seen other family members deal with it, but not with treatment.
It’s only been a month, I’ve been doing well and staying in the gym really helps. In some of the research I’ve read, there is a spectrum of depression: unipolar, or bipolar (which is coupled with mania) and symptoms of depression can vary, like how you said you feel your most sad right when you wake up. Apparently that is attributed to your circadian rhythm and your “downer” feelings can be managed over time by staying on a routine day in and day out. 😊
