I started playing this game for the first time 2 weeks ago (hardcore mode!), and absolutely loving it. It's so refreshing playing an open world game that's in a medieval setting that's also without any fantasy element. Super excited for the sequel!
EDIT: I watched blind playthroughs from 6 years ago, and I noticed it was quite buggy, especially the ones where you couldn't climb up every stair. Glad that was patched, among many other issues.
Hardcore mode is awesome, the woods get so realistic without a map. Idk how many times I got lost
I'm so glad I didn't discover this game till a couple months back. This way I know that when I finish it I have the 2nd ready to go and patched up.
I tried playing this game a few years back on PS4 and it was a mess. I recently got a PS5 and it is flawless.
I paid full price for the Royal Edition KCD on PC and the world, the game environment, the game play and the experience were TOTALLY WORTH IT.

This place in the screenshot is the Italian court itself (in czech Vlašský dvůr). It was an important site in the medieval times similar to the Pfaltze of the HRE emperors, but sadly it slowly declined afer the kingdom of Bohemia elected Ferdinand von Habsburg as a new king and in the 19th century it barely stood with some support. Unfortunately, the architect in charge of the reconstruction, Josef Mocker, was a radical neogothic purist so he decided to demolish most of the changed up court and build something "more similar" to the former look. But sadly, in the sane way that it happened on Karlštejn, he failed miserably and the Italian court mostly became just another neogothic town palace and only a fraction of the old building remains to this day.
There is the Italian Court on that screenshot. Btw, when Wenceslav IV was in Kuttenberg, he lived right in these buildings (buildings on screenshot).

Im so glad theyre actually going to add breeds of horses by the sounds of it, so the difference in stats will make sense, that was a good choice from them, it will increase immersion by a lot. It seems that its already breaking my expectations and its not even released yet, i have high hopes for this, imagine what other thing they've gone into detail with.
I am looking forward to proper horse armour being implimented... I managed to find the single piece in KCD1, and love how it looked... but cannot for the life of me remember where I found it - it was just for the top of the head, so more ornimental than actually armour, but love it
What a great looking shield... Would love to have one of those on my wall, just don't have an XL 3d printer laying around. Still cool they put out that file for everyone to use, they didn't have to do that.
You can scale it down in any slicer for any printer, but maybe lost bit of details.
Best deal ever! I've bought the game like 4 different times for my account and my son's account then bought Royal edition on disc and all dlc one by one as they came out!
The thing that made my head turn was horse sizes… if there is a dorky pony, that is my new favourite mount.

Horse part is interesting, don't think they mean wild horses though but rather horses for sale, Could also be that you cab seize horses of opponents and make your own?

Completion play through on Switch now. This is the only game I play and in terms of a “video game” it satisfies need and wants I didn’t known I had!
I will be purchasing a whole new game system just to play Kingdom Come 2 and that’s my only reason.
I love this community, and this game has carried me through such good and dark times.

Hi on the ps4/ps5 nasty bug tied to from the ashes dlc. It can make the game unbeatable towards the end of the game. Only fix is to load before you finished from the ashes. You can still rebuild the town just don’t report you are done

I grew up with games, from mario 3 through ocarina of time to resident evil 4 and every single halo game.
I can say KCD is the best game Ive ever played, I made 240 hours in a month, I just couldnt stop playing

Oh,Encountering horses. Definetely would be cool if we find them in the wild like in RDR2 ( or steal them ) and keep them. That would be awesome. Hitch and is yours to keep. Hopefully we see actual morphological differences bteen lighter but faster and sturdier horses. Like IRL .

I have put my heart and soul into this game it is my magnum opus to me I can't explain the special warm feeling i have when I remember the times I had playing it was like escaping to another world and to have a sequel released literally makes my heart jump and scream with joy also as someone who obsesses over knights and history its mixes greatly with me and i can't wait for the noble and brave adventure's ahead of me!

Question.. Has anyone tried this on Deck and Switch and have a comparison? Deck is obviously more powerful and renders nicely.. I've tried that. But, I also know that the switch can manipulate the textures and stuff as well.

I’m waiting to hear about frame rate, they said they haven’t got it at 60 fps on console yet and there isn’t a performance mode, which means fps probably is gonna have struggles also on pc, I’m tired of 30 fps stuff I had to do it starfield and dragons dogma,
Prusa printers are super expensive, but the print quality is just insane. You dont get such beautiful surfaces with a Creality or Anycubic printer.

While I'm looking forward to playing KCD 2 at the end of 2024, I'm fully expecting it to be delayed to early-mid 2025 which is also fine with me.
Pretty sure the game is mostly complete by now. They’re mostly just doing bug fixes and what not.
