I just installed the device in my LC 200 2019 in the Dominican Republic and it works seamless! Thanks to the other videos about the installation and the excellent customer support provided by Eric (thank you very much Eric for even answering my emails on a Saturday!) I was able to do the installation myself. You just need patience and storing away the boxes with the cables was a bit of a challenge. But all in all in a day the job was done. Now i can enjoy my vehicle here on the island with navigation and everything else Carplay has to offer. I am very happy!
So with the newer system going through Bluetooth for audio instead of AUX doesn’t that mean the audio quality isn’t as good since it’s now using Bluetooth instead of the wired connection? Is wired CarPlay still possible? If I order the Toyota Sienna kit (for a 2016 with JBL) will it be this new system or the older one that uses AUX?
The audio quality will be exactly the same at your current Bluetooth. If you want the best audio quality, you will want to connect your phone directly to the car’s usb. You can do this even with our carplay
Does this automatically connect to your device each time you turn on the car? Eg. Device is remembered trusted device or do I have to connect via my phone each time?

Yes this automatically connects to your device each time you turn on the car. The screen will auto switch to carplay screen as well too
