  • Today we're looking at the Military Armament Corporation MAC 9DS. While the features are pretty standard when it comes to 2011's, what makes this double stack 9mm 1911 stand out is the affordability.
We briefly go over to how we got to the double stack 1911 and their purpose, the included feature set, shoot it a bit and finally discuss our thoughts and why we like this pistol.
As always, if you enjoyed please like the video, tell us what you thought and subscribe. It shows my boss and the algorithm you guys like the videos and want to continue to see them.

I purchased the Mac 9 five weeks ago. At 2650 rounds through it, it is performing excellent. Not one failure or hiccup. The barrel to frame lock up is done perfectly. Both mags work flawlessly too. Last week I put a 11 pound recoil spring in it and a different sear. It didn’t need these, I just wanted it to be a certain way. I was initially impressed with this pistol after I completely disassembled it and looked at the parts. This Mac 9 is assembled really great. I’m very very pleased with the Mac 9. Hey, maybe I got one that was done right, maybe I got lucky, I don’t know. Thanks!!

My man great commentary in video! I first shot a 1911 in the 1970's it was my uncles war pistol and he slept with it under his pillow at night and I was scared to go in his room to wake him up. At the time I was 8 or nine years old I spent summers with him at my grandmother's house in N.C. After she passed. He took care of the property each summer and my parents took me because I wanted to be with him. That's when I fell in love with a 1911, been in love ever since!!! Now I like the 2011's/DS pistols because after all it's a 1911 platform evolution..! 😎

I just picked this gun up last week, I wanted to point out that frame of the gun is forged 4140 steel, and the grip is glass filled polymer...

I'm glad to see other manufacturers getting into the 2011 market! I'll have to come down to the Broadway shop and check it out!

This is my first entry to the 2011 market and was so excited when I got my MAC DS. It shot really well and no complains but my first hand experience shooting with a polymer grip was not as good as when I shoot my Sig P226 MK25. Maybe because I am just new to it but I really love the weight of either a steel or aluminum grips.

It’s definitely hard to compete with more weight in a handgun, so I can’t blame you.

Awesome quality handgun and thorough review. The STACCATO's have a plastic trigger and usually get replaced immediately. Looks very promising. Excellent Checkmate magazines and takes STACCATO magazines. PEACE

Online outfitters I did not know y’all had a channel. I’m around 200 rounds on my sample and having frequent FTE causing a double feed. Hopefully it will break in and the trigger pull weight seems a little high

I’m sure he means grip not frame. It’s a glass infused polymer grip with a steel frame. I think it’s 4140 steel.
