Hey Peter, this is nice, but the sticky pistons in the stack of five that push the glass back do not need to be zero ticked. This is because the color of the beacon while the glass is moving would be the same as the color when the glass stops. Same thing goes for the very bottom one on the other side.
no because it doesn't render it when its moving with pistons
@@derrrick1407 yeah, but that direction specifically does not need to change. For example if you go from red to orange and you have ROOR (top to bottom) then you can do your 0 tick pistons on the top R to immediately make it O and then use regular pistons to move the other side, so while those are moving the beacon sees O__R and when they are done moving it sees ORRR and this are the same color. I have made designs that do this so I know.
In fact it is completely possible to make a design using no zero ticks at all. I know because I have done it.
Looks like it's possible to make it smaller!
@@peterjiangTW It sure is! I managed to make a 9x5x(n+3) where n is the number of layers, up to a max of 8. Also 10 colors per second. I used a 6 color loop, a 10 color like yours would be 11x5x(n+3) by extending the loop.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone like you though could make it even smaller as I don’t normally do Java redstone!
For anybody who wants to build it, just remember do build the entire thing IN 1 CHUNK, i build 6 of those and then i realised how screwed i'm because every of those were crossing the border chunk and as fast as i was going somewhere else, colorfull glass break the redstone or get out of tape, please don't do my mistakes
could you add the schematic or world download? it's easier for me to build like that than from a video
thanks for the tutorial, I ran up against a wall trying to design this myself!
Wonderful for doing this! Such a sweet setup. Thank you.
Can you try with copper bulbs maybe it will be smaller than this
Amazing stuff, built it and it worked rightaway. Thank you
Thank you, This is just what I needed for Jeopardy
You're the GOAT 🐐
Happy pride month 🏳️🌈
🐐 docm77又用了你的設計
I’ve missed your content

Would you be so kind to create a litematica file or a world save to easily import this onto worlds
A schematic/world download would be amazing 🙏
Consegui botar a textura para bedrock ??????????????
Hey, can i stop this just by pressing the lever? will nothing go wrong?
You can
World download ? Please
Awesome video, and great build. However I found that it completely de-syncs on a server when restarted. Do you have any idea why this might be and if it is fixable?
I think you should stop the machine before the server closes.
@@peterjiangTW thanks yeah that seems to be the only option. Keeping the chunks loaded seems to help too.
How do we need to place the glass if we want a rainbow color rather than black and white ?
place any sequence you want
@@peterjiangTW vertically, right ?
binary
Could you please give us a world download or schematic?
I'm planning a new design. Maybe the next one has a download.
Ok
does anyone know if this works in bedrock edition aswell?
highly unlikely. redstone (especially pistons) behaves significantly differently on bedrock.
No it won't because bedrock doesn't have 0 tick pistons, there are a few other things as well

Even after the tutorial i still don't understand how it works haha
I'm not good at explaining, but if you want, I can try it.
@@peterjiangTW id like it if you did too. i want to understand how.
binary helps cycle through each combination
like when you combine colorsthey follow binary pattern so you can just switch the colored glass like every time the number changes in its position and you get a gradient
