Hello, a Russian railworker here! 50 carriages is by far not a big train. I work at the Inskaya formation station in Novosibirsk, and here we have trains from 400 axles that are considered big (100 carriages). The smallest freight train I saw was 40 axles long.
A freight train in Russia can have more than a hundred carriage. This is nothing unusual for us.
Oh, I was not expecting the freighter to have such a charming little horn! I’m so used to window-rattling fog horns, that I would’ve never expected this magnificent workhorse of the rails to produce such a sweet little “toot”!! This made my day instantly, what a humble machine ❤
The name Varenikovskaya comes from "vareniki" - the Russian word for cheese dumplings. Believe it or not 😉🤷♀️
Such a cute name this platform has :-))
Hi! It's interesting that you show various aspects of life in Russia. We are waiting for new videos. Thank you for your work! P.S. Do high-speed passenger trains pass by?
If 24t is not part of the car number, then most likely its the max possible axle load. This means 4-axle car has 96t load (including the car itself), and that is limited by type of rails and how many sleepers per meter of track there are.
24 tonnes is the tare weight. I'll assume that the gondolas in the video are mostly 12-132 model universal gondolas, their maximum load capacity is 69.5 tonnes. And max axle load on 18-100 bogie is 23,5 tonnes.
Neato !
Why by train? Did you stop liking the Chinese car?
At first I thought you just shot video about a train )
Keep watching the channel for the answer! 😉
