Is Sochi the capital of Russia?🤔🙄

Apparently I’ve decided that Sochi is now the Russian capital 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏻🤦🏻 in my defence, I was very tired😬🥴 get past that and enjoy a look at the centre of Sochi.

Beautiful, clean and well kept city. I can say the same with all the cities I have watched of Russia.
Here in Los Angels, CA , I am afraid , it's garbage in garbage out everywhere.
Homeless camps , graffiti , pan handlers.
Afraid to go out after 8 PM.
What a contrast with Russian cities .

The situation was similar in Russia, we also had a complete mess in the cities in the 90s. Then the situation improved. The country has changed a lot, the mentality of the people has changed. If in the 90s many people threw garbage on the street, now it's just a shame to throw garbage everywhere.

Очень красивый город, чем то может он похож на Лос Анджелес. Я хочу там обязательно побывать в течении года .

LA плоский и сильно более распределенный. А тут горы и дома прижимаются к ним и по вечерам летом огромные пробки везде.
Но мне нравится Сочи - я раза 3 там был и ещё прилечу обязательно.
Электрички - спасение от пробок и вообще кайфовые и удобные в Сочи.

Great view of Sochi by foot. Very interesting to see that the park benches are flat and open in design like the ones in English speaking countries used to be before being replaced by "hostile design" ones with bumps and arm rest bars deliberately added to stop the homeless from lying on them. Hostile design is frequently an indication of hostile government attitude to the public and the absence of it, as in Russia, indicates the opposite.

У нас бомжей очень мало, для них есть социальные учреждения для бездомных, где им предлагают жилье еду, горячий душ и работу. Если человек не алкоголик, то у него проблем не будет.

there should be brand new seafront to the west from that street(Navaginskaya). Also, there is a Riv'yera park with dolphinarium. So I would recommend moving to the west.
And be aware of huge traffic in peak time.

Да, это экономически эффективно, люди ходят и ничего не платят за проход, Сюзан. У нас в Костроме, чиновник сказал что мост через Волгу будет невыгоден, его не расстреляли, а должны были за такие слова о социально значимом объекте.

I think tiles are more expensive comparing to asphalt, but it let the water go down to the ground, so you never have puddles on water on it(ideally). In fact old tails still may have puddles.
I cannot say about Sochi, but in my town in Siberia some paths which are old or not important and rarely used could be made from asphalt.
However, I see that a lot people do tiles on their backyard, so maybe not so expensive.

Асфальт летом нагревается, деформируется и неприятно пахнет. Плитка более эстетичная, проще в ремонте, но дороже. В зонах с высокой пешеходной проходимостью используется плитка - такие стандарты.
