I found your channel a year ago because of the S10. I watch every video in this build series and love that you’re doing and documenting this. You’d think since the S10 is literally one of the most LS swapped vehicles that there would be more CZcams videos about it but surprisingly that’s not the case. Keep it up brother! Can’t wait till it’s on the road/track/pad!

I love seeing people learn new things when it comes to cars. And that thing coming off the intake, is a evap purge valve. You can just plug it. Or hook it up 🤷♂️

For the fuel system the regulator actually is in the fuel filter, so the easiest thing for an ls swap is to get an LS fuel filter and you just gotta hook up both the feed and return line to one side of it, and then the feeds comes out of it regulated.
Corvette C5 fuel filter has the regulator built in like you’re speaking of.
Loving the S10 we don’t really get trucks here in the UK especially older American trucks. (Pickup in the uk) Great to see content on it for that reason.

Just dent the header to fit your steering shaft. Yes I know it doesn't look pretty but it does absolutely nothing to harm performance or sound.

Don’t know if it’s been said already or not, but you’re going to want to add an aftermarket transmission cooler. The cooler in the rad isn’t going to be good enough and heat is the worst enemy to the 4L60. A plate and fin type will work best, but anything is better than stock.

No start sounds like VATS especially if you did nothing to the ECU and not using the BCU from the truck.
Also .. should have replaced the oil pan drain. They do come out and its a M22 or M24 bolt you can get from Dorman.

Need to make sure the ecu had vats shut off also if your not getting spark
Make sure you have the crank sensor plugged in behind the starter and the cam sensor beside the oil pressure sensor.... I don’t remember if your harnes had an obd2 if it does check for a code and rpm signal while cranking
Also if the map sensor is messed up or not plugged in it won’t start either... only mention because you don’t have the mass air flow plugged in

Also, look at chain driven steering. They do it a lot with lowrider trucks
That's the purge valve for the evap system that you were thinking was an intake air temp
