Fantastic review, dude! 😃
There's another Racerstar FC with 5v and 9v regulators... Huge regulators! 3A each! 😱
its the same with the one in the tyro129 . all plugs and pins match
This FC looks nearly identical to the one that comes with the Eachine Tyro129. Well, it is identical but without the Bluetooth. Oh and Drone Mesh, you forgot to mention that in order to use SBUS or IBUS you have to solder a little bridge) And guys please note: Since this is a modified Matek it comes with the same flaws: F.PORT is not possible on the SBUS pad because there is some resistor that prevents telemetry to be sended correctly.
Jackjan just answered all my questions, thanks!
No need to use sbus pin. Solder no bridge and use TX1 pin with inverted s.port pin from your receiver. I use my r9mm via f.port on the tyro 129.
@@waldemarkraus2855 thats also possible, but only because you have an r9mm. Most people fly 2.4ghz
@@Jackjan4
R-XSR has also inverted s.port pin. Has nothing to do with 2.4ghz or 900mhz
So solder a bridge from sbus to ibus?
Great review bro.. 🙏 🇮🇳
I'd like to see you review the JHEMCU F7 Dual
Might be good for a cheap INav build too. Does it have a current sensor signal in Port? If so then you can get one of those xt60 plus with the current sensor.
Has anyone put together a HEX for INAV, yet?
Russ from Ocala, Florida, USA
Thanks for the video. Will this work on a regular airplane or wing ? Thanks in advance
I spent h ours yesterday trying to figure out the correct BF firmware target and keep my board from locking up after a few reboots. ...Turns out that the LED tab needs to remain active for this board to work? Weird.
Hi, I've bought this reciever and I am wiring it up with my racerstar 20a 4 in 1 esc. I am struggling to power it, does it take 5v or vbat? Where do I connect it? Thanks!
Bro *What's the best cheapest flight tower* I can buy now?
What about fport?
I can't get the barometer working in Betaflight. It reads always 0. Status command gives "I2C Errors: 1". When disabling the barometer, the error disappears. In INAV it works ok. Anyone having the same problem?
The barometer is faulty in mine. In inav I thought it was working but it was temperature corrections. The temperature sensor works ok, but pressure sensor doesn't.
Question can I run a kiss fc v2 with a blheli esc like an the tmotor 55a
Yes you can
Can it use a GPS?
Where is the battery to be soldered? I've been looking for battery tutorial
Hi sir. If I'm using a pdb with a 5v and 12v output, should I use the 5v to power this melo f4 or it is okay to use the 12v?
Hi. Where can I solder crossfire receiver here ?
seconded
i dont understand it have an esc plug.. why soldering?? remapping wires are most easy... no?
nice fc
why not just re-route the wires in the connector for the ESC? i understand some people don't use them (myself included, i prefer direct solder) but why not show that method also? you said it didn't have a connector and then showed the connector before flipping it over. haha.
The connector from the Iflight ESC had an extra pin, hence it won't fit the FC connector port. Probably why no one has responded to you. Very good point to show the other method as well but try not to sound like you caught drone mesh slippin.
@@dannycanahuate1219 you're telling me that someone like him doesn't have a ton of jst and sh connectors lying around? even i have spare connectors in all sorts of sizes from 1mm pitch to 2.5mm pitch. those things are used all over in this hobby!
would've been super easy and helpful to take the 5 minutes to show both methods instead of glossing over one of them that the controller is designed for.
@@thegrafxguy1 If it's so easy and only takes 5 minutes why should he bother anyway, also it changes for ESC to ESC so, showing one does not really help. It can and will be different for different setups. If you need help repining Joshua Bardwell has a good video on it.
I’m pretty sure you said poop button.
Can I use this with Inav on a fixed wing aircraft?
Yes
$34, no longer pays off!!
There's not much redundancy on capacitors, the cheaper boards save on that, and use the bare minimum. Further solder pads without a hole true the pcb, are much more prone to ripping the pad of the pcb.
Redundancy on caps on FC's are not too important, also why bother are you ripping caps of the boards or having caps fail? If you are ripping pads of board you are applying to much heat. Try turning the temp up on your iron and keeping it on the pad for less time. GIve wires some slack too if something does come lose so it would pull on the pad so hard. For the most part that is an non issue though.
@@anthonysamaha3760 Capacitors are relative expensive socheap boards they use minimal.
You cannot have enough of Caps flightcontrollers are exposed to RF noise and to power surges and ripples can enter the gyro or give lines at videofeed etc. So yes it can work but generally more Caps is better, this board has the bare minimum. And yes a pad with a hole true the pcb you can indeed brake an arm pull off a wire etc, the wire will snatch but the pad will not be ripped off from the pcb.
Is the SD card for Blackbox or DVR rec?
Black box, you can't record DVR to the SD card.
This video came out today, yet you can not find this for less than $28, which is $4 more than the SpeedyBee F4 AIO w/Bluetooth.
Its 23.50 use different browser.
@@DroneMesh Its 28 from BG US warehouse. It's 23.50 if you get from their CN(China) warehouse.
@@DroneMesh It was showing 24.50+ Shipping, Shipping is Free now, but this still isn't $20 like you claimed.
I can't set my LEDs from speedy bee for some reason all the different color boxes are all gray and my led stays yellow and found out today that it turns white in turtle mode. I don't have a desktop right now to try on there
Is the succex-e better than mamba?
Actually, is the whole stack better for 12$ more? It doesn't seem to be worth it...
I would say the Iflight is better due to reputation, but both are very good. I would choose the stacks depending on what features you want.
@@anthonysamaha3760 Iflight's ESC looks only a bit better than Mamba's but the FC feels a lot cheaper (pads vs pins, respectively). And features i think they are the same for both, maybe one UART more for iflight.
I don't think these are 12$ apart. Maybe if it were only 5$ difference then i'd go for iflight.
@@gamaxgbg No I would say the mamaba has more. The mamba has Bluetooth and more voltage regulators, while the iflight is more stable IMO and has gyro fusion
@@anthonysamaha3760 i'm talking about the cheap versions, not the more expensive stacks
In that case iflight
where is inverter for telemetry (S.Port) ?
It's $28, $22 I'd be interest but 28 I rather buy clracing f4 for 29 or piroflip for 32
Do a Hobbyking build!! c:
Rules: frame, and electronics must be from Hobbyking.
Would be a waste of money and time, hobbyking does not have a good part selection, so the end result would not be a quad worth building. Would still be interesting the best possible quad that could be built from hobbyking though,
Anthony Samaha I didn’t know that. Probably the only thing that would be good is the frame.
I wonder when we'll get usb c flight controllers lol
They're 1 dollar more expensive for each port, so you would be making every flight controller 1 dollar more expensive, and higher weight
@@FAQUERETERMAX ohh ok
But are they really that much more expensive to manufacture?
@@___echo___ Yes, the receptacle itself is more expensive, has more expensive circuitry, and requieres more expensive testing. Not only that, since it supports 5a people might expect it to actually power up the motors in betaflight and other functions, and that adds an extra layer of complexity
iflight has a few now
Looks a lot like the old CL racing f3.
meh buy a f7 board if you want to future proof F4 boards are already getting scowled at by the betaflight devs.
Cant find that for the price. Any suggestions?
He said TX from ESC to RX4 while pointing at RX1 lol $20? it's $23.50 from CN warehouse You're short $3.50 dude
