  • This week we used the bobcat to rip out a fibreglass pool
Once the shell was cut and removed we compacted the fill in layers up to 400mm with a heavy compactor and excavator. We topped it off with a layer of topsoil for a lawn area.
The pool can now be removed off the councils plans and the resident can use their backyard.

Now you see it, now you don’t. Removing that nasty pool was the beginning. Now they have to do something with the rest of that ugly yard. Great job.👏👏👍🏻

I am about to do the same job. I have never done anything like this before, but as a handicapped guy with a small income, I have to do this myself with help from friends and family. So I am looking for advice... What type of blades were used for cutting the fiberglass?? That sure looked easy!! lol..

I just got an estimate $7520 . This is to remove fibre glass, digger & trailer hire, dump the fibreglass and rubbish removal $2450. To fill for hole $1600 labour and the dirt $3200 my pool is 2500 litres. Understand why you do it on your own.
What if you chopped up the fibreglass in small pieces and left it there and filled it with dirt?
