It's a shame we never got to see a real AVP movie. I mean it's not that hard to pull off. They really dropped the ball back in 04 & 07. If they're ever gonna reboot the series they should use this comic as a blueprint to finally give us the proper crossover we've been asking for
These comics are true masterpieces. The story told is well written and interesting, so much so that it is well beyond all the prequel films and I think it is almost at the level of Alien and Aliens, and then they manage to impeccably intertwine the three great universes, prequel, predator and Alien. Every time I reread them I get angry thinking about how comics can ridicule a film like Alien Covenant and I think that if they adapted this entire arc into a series they would probably make the best product in the Alien universe after the first two films.
Thanks for the Public service Gem! I never even knew about these gems and missed the chance years ago to buy for $50. Theyâre much pricier now clearly worth it the Aliens franchise with Dark Horse and Marvel and 20th century Fox studios is addictive sci-fi at its FINEST!
Great review. I don't have the omnibus versions, but I have all of it in the original comic book format. I these stories. When I saw the movies I wanted to know more about the Engineers, so it was a treat for me to able to get this much material about them. Like you said it is a fun story and it moves along quickly. I highly recommend these two series for Alien and Predator fans. I heard a lot of hate for them, but it wasn't really the comics that they were hating on but rather they just didn't like Prometheus so they never gave them a chance.

It's so cool to see Aliens and Predator in this form. I only watched the movies and found them all great in there own way. Now that I am collecting comics again, I have found awesome titles in and outside of the big 2. I enjoy your videos and have expanded my knowledge of other collectables because of you. If you dig these comics...you should finally get at least one Alien and one Predator statue. CoolProps/Prime 1 Dog Alien is one of the best statues ever made. And Prime 1 has the Predator Jungle Hunter and Victim companion piece on preorder. These are must haves.

Oh, man! I never knew you pulled the trigger on two Predator titles from Dark Horse Comics. I absolutely love both Fire & Stone as well as Life & Death, so much in fact I have 11 original pages that are penicled from artist Chris Mooneyham and inked by John Lucas. The art work from Life & Death is penciled and inked by artist Brian Thies which he was gracious enough to give me first dibs on 4 pages from him.
One of them is a splash page of Crack Tusk that inspired the new Crack Tusk Prime 1 1/4th scale statue that will be releasing in July (I pre-ordered of course). If you would like to see one of the original pages on the review I did of the Predator Hornhead by NECA just browse the channel. Not bragging just wanted to share since it seems you really enjoyed this story with the Predator known as "Ahab"

I bought the life death book a few weeks ago after spotting it in an earlier video unfortunately the other one way too expensive hope they reprint them along with all the original alien predator stuff in library editions

Christ..these books are so rare in this format you've got more chance of finding Anne Frank with a copy than you have of picking one up..now that marvel's got the license I do hope they get a re- print.

I really like these books, too. I read them a long time ago. I don't remember the binding being bad on my copies, but now I want to check. I hate having bad binding on these types of books, especially given how much money you pay for them.

Wish I jumped on these sooner. You can luck out finding life and death complete at a book store, but fire and stone is nearly impossible to find for under $300

I have these two books in good condition I bought them just to have them and put them in the shelf canât believe they cost $900 on eBay if you have both of em crazy itâs tempting to sell them with how much they are worth but I dunno đ€·đŸââïž I feel like keeping them

Here's a question; I just looked up both on Amazon in TPB format and both are very low page count, but yours seem to be alot more...what gives? (there is only one book of each in TPB format)...stay minty!
im not really sure. i would look at what it contains. Should only be 12 issues.
@@GemMintCollectibles it can't be 12 issues for the TPB, it's only 115 pages or so, thanks for the info.
Trade Paperback is just the 4 issues bound into one complete book as opposed to the Hardcover books that Gemmint is reviewing in the video where all 12 issues are reflected. Trade paperbacks run on average about $15-$20 or so each and these two as stated are $50, so double the price for all 12 issues in one book.

Right after Christmas I got The Death and Return of Superman omnibus that was the most recent one released for $55 shipped off of Amazon. Now the cheapest one on there is like $270. Crazy.
