- In what could be a significant move for sim racing, the company that makes seats for the likes of Alpine and restraints for McLaren has now turned to cockpits and steering wheels.
Sabelt is the latest automotive powerhouse to enter the sim racing space, with its first set of cockpits under the Sabelt Sim Racing banner.
We visited its Italian base recently to try out the debut S Series cockpit, seat, monitor mount and steering wheel to see if the doyens of motorsport belts can transition successfully into a brand-new market.
We also spoke to the Sabelt team to find out why it has made the move. Watch the video embedded above to see his hands-on impressions.
In our opinion, style, quality and attention to detail are evident throughout, something that John discovered on his recent trip to Turin. He also got to experience Monza for a GT racing round.
To be clear - travel and accommodation were provided, but this is not sponsored content.

Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, and passion to share with use all… Love it.. GG ya’ll🤘👍✌️
Awesome. If I didn't already have my forever rig, it's something I'd consider.
What rig have you got?
@@robato3991 just a custom extruded aluminum rig that I cut and bolted myself. Bought 5m of 40x80 and 3m of 40x40.
Great video, so interesting ❤
great video, thanks for that. are these the samsung G9 49" or the 57" monitors in that video? Thanks
Good video
Cool gloves
I thought that too!
It's very nice gear, and the chairs look nice. However the rigs are insanely overpriced

If this is your thing, fair enough, but I feel it's over engineered, expensive and superfluous. Go spec up some 8020, build it to your own requirement and save a ton of money. Make a video about that, people will appreciate affordable rigs rather than something like this monstrosity.
