Really man, this is just a joke. You know you canât compare the two greatest bands in history. Theyâre as good as eachother, âno contestâ theyâre just both legends.
@@robbinvanderzwart7452 I believe the op was referring to Freddy Mercury and not the band as a whole, hence The Queen. Not spectacular, but maybe Freddy would approve.
Just let my six year old listen to the queen version this morning for the first time. He said âif I was a getaway driver and robbed a bank Iâd listen to this songâ lol canât get the image out of my head now.
I love both versions, but hetfields voice and aggression along with ulrichs violent drumming takes it up another level. Been listening to Metallica my whole life, and will always be my favorite. đ€đ€
I really like how this song does the drop out thing and lets vocals shine in there own space especially on the opening part. I actually think lars droping out to just the hi hat actually supports the vocal solo sound better. where i think the Queen version thr drums are trying to do too much there but both are great
When i was in highschool i would practice drums to the Metallica Garage inc album so the Metallica version is actually the one i heard first . Then later iearned about it being originally Queen. I have always loved the Garage inc album because i love the energy and it has a punk rock vibe to it too. I think Stone Cold Crazy is excellent as both a metal song and speedy punk rock song.
Metallica played it very eell, but Queen played it so amazingly outstanding!! Everything sounds so good, guitar, bass, drum and Freddie!!! A perfect package!!!!â€â€â€â€â€â€
But Queen's with James Hetfield at the FreÉÉÄ«e MercurÆŽ tribute show is the best verison there is imo but still you just can't beat the original either
I think my only problem with Metallicaâs version of the song is that James is the only one saying âSTONE COLD CRAZY!â instead if the whole band like Queen did. Both versions are incredible though!
Don't know enough about Metallica, but later versions of the song Queen performed are blistering fast compared to these versions. Houston 1977 is an easy example.
There is no doubt about the talent regarding Metallica. In this instance, there is a richness from Queen that when held side by side must be noted. I like both. But Queen đ has the crown on this.
Personally I prefer the Metallica version purely because of Jamesâ vocals, his voice is a lot better suited to singing metal than Freddieâs is (Iâm not hating on the Queen version, I love both versions)
Metallica took this song to the gym, got it drunk, and performed it
I like your perspective đ€
This made me realize that Freddie could totally rap if he wanted to
They were a very diverse band so it wouldnât surprise me if Queen jumped on the 90s pop-rap genre if Freddie was still alive
THIS!!
And he would sound better than 99% of modern day rappers
Stone Cold Crazy, Dead On Time, idk maybe Headlong but it's slow,
Listen to their back catalog and you will learn that they can do pretty much anything.
This is one of those rare instances where both versions of the same thing are just so right
Agreed!
100% agree both are unique , can't decide haha
Iâm more of a Metallica fan so I say Metallica did it better but both played and sang it very well
I canât pick either both are great
Queen is better third verse
Both are great but Queen sounds so clean
The song suits more distortion
No one could outdo Freddie but I like Jamesâ raspiness that he added to it. His voice from this era was incredible.
đ„đ€
I am not a Metallica fan, but in this era his voice could have been the best in metal
Best version is Hetfield with Queen and Iommi at the Freddie Tribute
đ€
Shame Hetfield felt the need to add an expletive. John Deacon noticed and turned his back. Still, a great performance.
The firts trash metal song of the history..1974â€ïžâđ„
No!!!! IT was Special, but Not the best!!! The best is from Queen!!!

Metallic may be one of my favorite bands, but Noone outsings the queen. Rip Freddie
Came to say this.
Clare Tory could on Great Gig in the Sky
Absolutely
I agree, but it's Queen. Not the Queen. No hate
@@robbinvanderzwart7452 I believe the op was referring to Freddy Mercury and not the band as a whole, hence The Queen. Not spectacular, but maybe Freddy would approve.
Freddie has better breath control on this one
both are fine but Freddie's voice uffff

I think itâs cool that Metallica is paying respect to one of the first heavy metal songs!
Both are insanely good!
Dos grandĂsimas bandas pero la verdad Fredy es otro nivel vocalmente .
Yes. Theyâre both great and I listen to them both.
I love the drumming on the verse on the original clip

@ter why mention what you said when he's only talking about Stone Cold Crazy? It's irrelevant. You said 'nah', so that proves I'm right

@ter well, he was reacting to this video. So it's obvious he's talking about Stone Cold Crazy. Plain and simple
Queen Freddie for suređâ€â€â€

QUEEN FOR LIFE
Should do a comparison between the guitar riffs on Stone Cold Crazy and Romeo Delight by Van Halen. Differing lyrics, but very similar licks
đđ
Queen manage to sound bigger AND cleaner at the same time!
Both amazing bands
Of course Queen
both of them are great in their own way, but have y'all seen queen with james hetfield on the freddie mercury tribute concert? insane
