- Getting a tattoo is a big decision. Which is why convincing a stranger to do it with you sounds like it would be impossible. We decided to go out in the streets and try to make that happen. Little did we know just how many people would be so spontaneous :)

I would honestly get a tattoo with a stranger faster that get a tattoo with a friend/significant other. If you get a tattoo with a friend or significant other, no matter how much you love each other, there’s always a chance that you’ll fight or someone will do something wrong and you could end up hating the other person. If you get a tattoo with them you have a permanent reminder of a failed relationship/friendship. I’d only ever get a matching tattoo with a family member because family is forever or a stranger like this because you don’t have enough time together to dislike the person.

Nah, tattoo artists see things like this all the time... xD I remember a few years back, the whole shtick in the tattoo artist community, in my area at least, was the finger mustache (or "fingerstache"). It was all over myspace, and I guess they were getting a lot of those requests, and all the artists in the shop I went to had the same one done as some sort of inside joke.

A similar thing happened to me while travelling in Iceland! I met some strangers at a hostel and the next day they convinced me to get tattoos with them and it was my first tattoo! Not matching tattoos, but one of the best experiences of my life! 😎

This is the beautiful thing about this generation, just being free and random and living life for memories. Love this. After awhile everyone decided to get it and that’s really cool, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and doing it around good people that you care for and vice versa.

Some things just shouldn't be spontaneous, why would you spontaneously get a permanent reminder of a rush decision u have made, now I have no problems with tattoos, just with the way they have decided to get them..
triskalion , but at the same time, the ones who were truly not open to the idea in the beginning had valid reasons for changing their minds, had them done so so small & in excellent hiding spots! Also, they can all be covered with anything in future. I say, why not!?

I would never ordinarily get a tattoo but if I was there I would’ve done it. In a way it’s better having a tattoo with someone you don’t know than a partner/friend because you can look back and go that was a fun, crazy night - unlike in the future if your loved one becomes an x.
