      You're the Man, Jim! Thanks for watching, taking the time to comment, and showing support! You are much appreciated! If I know it, it's from youtube university. As far as Unifi, it's a bit proprietary when you get in, but it works. For instance, the recorder I have says, "you can ssh in if you wanna, but that voids the warranty," lol. Guess I won't be ham-sperimenting until the warranty is done, lol. See you out there, Jeem! 73 de Bill

      Freddie Mac! Thanks for being in there! Stopping by, watching, and taking time to show support is def appreciated. Hopefully, I’ll have the GHM ready for Huntsville. I put a lot of work into it, but none of it will stay put if I’m going down the road, lol. See you down the log. 73 de Bill

    Bill, that victron gear is the best stuff. The tracking, logging and is well worth the buy. I really like your green shack too.

    Enjoyed the tour of the Green Ham Machine! I would love to see/hear more about it in the future. I am just across the state line from Charlotte. LoRa is definitely on my to do list! 73, Patrick KF4LMZ

      Patrick! I appreciate you watching and taking time to comment. I come down that way to Buy Two Way Radios several times a year. Sometimes it’s the quickest way to get connectors and coax. I’ll definitely talk about Lora as I learn more. I’ve got several Meshtastic nodes going. Talk to you down the log. 73 de Bill

    Interesting video. I'm starting down the road of putting a Victron system in my teardrop. I started with a smart shunt on the battery and will end up getting a solar controller and build from there. I purchased some Ruvvi bluetooth tags to monitor the temp in my fridge that will eventually integrate into the Victron system. Next on the list is to get some type of 802.11 dish system I can use to bring in campground wifi when it's weak.

      Kyle! Thanks for watching and joining in on the conversation. I’m very satisfied with Victron, but that’s where I started and ended up immersed. It’s sometimes proprietary and NOT inexpensive. New things from other manufacturers pop up around me, and I’m sort of unable to incorporate because I’m deep in Victron. So, I guess there are pros and cons. I keep my eyes open, though, like at Moore so I’m aware and can add things that are useful. As far as campground wifi, I saw a video years ago and that’s what got me started with ubiquiti; I’ll probably stick with them because, again, already down that rabbit hole. Your trailer is awesome, and I look forward to your developments. See you at Dayton. 73 de Bill

    Looks great Bill!.. I am working on getting a cargo trailer converted to a camper/hamshack. I have a lot of Victron equipment that I am planning eventually on installing in the trailer along with 800W of solar panels on top and 400 AH of LiFePo storage. For temporary use, I have a Bluetti 200P solar power unit until I get the Victron equipment installed. I hope that you will do a few videos on your solar equipment and any cool stuff you want to talk about that you did to the trailer build.

      You got it! If I can help, I definitely will. I sometimes hold back on the trailer videos because this is a "ham" channel, but when I talk to my ham friends there is so much of this that is "ham adjacent". Solar is one of those subjects that I am NOT an expert on but totally willing to share what I think I might know. I just ordered a flexible 100w to finish this trailer. I have two (2) 300w panels and a 700w capable charge controller installed now. That panel I ordered should bring the system to capacity on paper at least. I ordered another 100 ah LiPo battery to go with the two (2) 100 ah LiPos that are already there. I hope to have four batteries in total soon. We will see if that's enough, lol. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. You can always stop in and talk about your build as it goes along. See you out there. 73 de Bill

    Very cool setup - I'm jealous! Do you by chance do any work with Meshtastic? A buddy and I are experimenting currently, and I'm super curious about your LoRa (Yagi) setup. Would love to hear more if you feel so inclined! All the best!

      Thanks for watching and thanks for getting in there with a comment and question! I work with Meshtastic, and I am always trying to learn more. I think this is the only video I’ve done so far. czcams.com/video/eGn0tQN8wdY/video.htmlsi=G9RDJigRS4chZX_9 Those are the three Lora setups I’m currently exploring; helium mining, Meshtastic, IOT gateways and sensors. There’s so much to learn and digest. I’m just biting little chunks and chewing until I kind of get it, lol. That Yagi was inexpensive, as far as that goes, and I’m pretty sure it came from Rokland. Search for them on the web. Specifically, it is the ALFA Network 12 dBi N-Female Directional Yagi Outdoor IoT 915 MHz Antenna for LoRa HaLow AYA-9012 I might not even need it, but I wanted to cut out the hunting for answers regarding my setup being far out. I wasn’t able to contact anyone with my helium miner with the stock setup. So, I went for height, gain, and directionality. 900Mhz is the same for all Lora, so this antenna would work for any. Yagis have practical advantages and disadvantages. Let me know how your setup is working for you. The Comms Channel is a CZcams channel with plenty of answers. Sub to him. I’ll see you out there. 73 de Bill

    What brand and model 3D printer doyou have?

    • @Bill-HRT
      @Bill-HRT  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for watching and joining in the conversation. That printer is a Snapmaker 2.0. They are too expensive, but they work right out of the box, are super sturdy, and don’t present a steep learning curve to a first time user like myself. My nephew pulled the trigger first, and recommended it. He is US special forces, tight on his money, and very smart. I knew if he approved it was a buy once-cry once kind of a deal. I don’t regret buying that printer at all. It comes with auto leveling, easy filament loading, and software that makes printing easy. That’s all I know except that i am happy a with it. Hope that helps. See you out there. 73 de Billl

      Thanks for stopping and commenting! I have Meshtastic already. I have a couple t-beams, a T-Deck, and a couple more. I follow the Comms Channel and keep my eye on Rokland and RAK. I have a couple rigs marketed by Garth on etsy.
      Here's one of my videos that talks about a solar, Meshtastic node I've deployed: czcams.com/video/eGn0tQN8wdY/video.htmlsi=aWEAPXS8C4xcVp_L I am very interested in all LoRa. Tell me about you LoRa deployments if you feel like it. I'm always curious??? See you out there. 73 de Bill

      I've been messing around with Meshtastic for a few years, found a couple of guys here in Chicago that were interested in it. We set up a discord server, and now we have 133 nodes online. Starting to takeoff a little bit are you seeing many people where you are?
