Hey! Thanks for watching. I appreciate you jumping in with a comment. Thanks for the support. I’m having fun with the loop. It was a learning experience all the way around. I got the DX Commander, Callum (I’m in NC), and he gave me a 53. So, it’s working, lol. It is not up as high as most recommend, but swr and performance is good enough. I’ll have more as I learn more. See you out there. 73 de Bill

Bill your going to really enjoy that loop. While it is a bit of work to setup, imagine using that antenna for camping. The multiband capability of an 80 meter loop for all bands is something I enjoy when I have enough trees to get that in the air on a multi day camp trip.

Kevin! How’s it going? Thanks for watching and taking the time out to comment. I appreciate it. Well, that antenna has already spoiled me. I don’t have all the particulars to quote right now but a press of the button and it’s on any band I want. It’s getting out pretty good, too. I got Callum in England (I’m in NC), and he gave me a 53. That’s a first for me, so I’m happy as I spend time figuring it out. I’ll have to re-watch your videos about portable operations with that much wire. I’ll see you out there. 73 de Bill

Ape! No problem. It was my pleasure because I had fun putting it together and playing radio with it. I also appreciate the work you all put into it. It lives in the center console of my truck, and definitely is part of my portable antenna arsenal. See you out there. Well, no I won’t ’cuz you ain’t got no call sign, lol. 73 de Bill

Hey Bill, I believe that is the same winder as the Apollo, not the Artemis. The Apollo winder is a slightly improved winder over the Artemis. I have the original Artemis EFHW and even the older winder has stood up to 2 years of being outside all day almost everyday.

Thanks for the info! Thanks for stopping by, watching, and joining in. I’m sorry I got the incorrect info in there. Hopefully, this correction reaches those who want to know. That’s particular antenna stayed out for four months with no issues. It wasn’t meant for that, but it did it! I’m sure for most people it will do a great job. I will see you out there. Glad to hear from you. 73 de Bill

Bill I also like the 2mm banana plugs but we felt they were hard for most to put on and I found a lot of them defective. We also advise to take the red insulation off the ones we send now and they are closer in size to the ones you used. Nice review! That new loop should destroy that tactical loop!!!

Chuck! Glad to see you. I appreciate you stopping by, watching, and leaving a comment. I wasn’t calling you out. If I was selling kits and antennas, I’d include the same hardware as you. I haven’t run into the defective ones, but I know on some days those pesky 2mm banana plugs jump all over the place. Some days it all works out with the soldering iron, lol. Anyway, great kit. Lots of fun and it works well. I haven’t had a dipole since the HOA made me take it down in Tempe, so great to have it in my antenna arsenal. See you out there. 73 de Bill
