So I bought a couple of Maestro "C"'s and was trying to decide what mic or headset to get. So I did a search on "flex maestro microphone" and wa-lah your video is listed first, and has my headset right there !!! I'm going to play around with it and see how she sounds. Keep posting vids ... and thank!!!

I really appreciate you stopping by to watch, and then joining in the conversation. Do come back and tell us what you experience and find out. I found out at Hamvention that this headset is the choice of Paradan, a vendor there. I stopped to chat about another thing and there was our headset. So far so good with me. I hope you drop back by and tell us how it works for you. 73 de Bill

This may work with many mobile radio / base stations, simce it has a TRRS jack!? Cool.

I appreciate you watching and joining in on the conversation. You left a question mark; that’s just it. When I heard them say, “ it’s a trrs and IF the headset supports the apple/apple-like/ctia convention” all I was left with is a question mark. There’s no way anyone in a store I’d go into or a headset provider (except Radiosport)) knows the Apple convention , CTIA. That’s why I posted this video. At least one (1) other headset is now known to work with the Maestro “C”. Thanks, again. See you out there. 73 de Bill

Also, what's your mic profile look like and do you have bias turned on or off? ... Thanks, Steve ... W1SMC

Thanks for stopping by. First, I found out that this is exactly the same headset that Paradan radio uses with one of their rigs. So, hams are already using it. To your question, I didn’t touch it. I had forgotten it was necessary setting on the computer software. I can’t speak with authority but it seems to be a default for the Maestro. I thought about it after using for a while, and I wonder if mic profiles even apply to the Maestro. This is a question for Mike Walker. As soon as I can I will ask him. Thanks for stopping by, and see you out there. 73 de Bill

I wonder how fast it boots up? I have the Model B (I think that's the one, maybe an A) and powering it up takes longer than a total eclipse to get to the main radio selection screen.

Dennis! Good to see you in there, and I am glad you stopped by. I timed it for you. With a network connection and AC power, mine took (1) one minute to the screen to select the radio. i did it twice to be fair and sure, and that's what I came up with. Of course ;-) I didn't push the watch timer and the start button absolutely simultaneously. So, I guess this test is not valid, lol. I appreciate you taking time to comment. I'll see you out there. 73 de Bill
