- This video shows how I made a Wood Strip Cutter in a few easy steps. This is a very useful tool for model making. I use this tool to cut balsa wood strips when I build model boats and model aircrafts. This is the most efficient, accurate and affordable method I found so far. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need more information. Thank you for watching my video.
Beautiful! I love the elegant simplicity of this clever idea, and how you present it so clearly without any words. Excellent!
Such a simple idea, yet brilliant! Thanks for sharing, I will be making one, now.
Excellent. Suggestion: instead of fixing with screws, you could set the blade at standard widths and at each one, drill a vertical hole down through the top into the movable block. To use, just set it in place with a removable dowel each time - no need to measure and would keep the blade very steady. Cheers and thanks from Sydney, Dave
love the simplicity, works beautifully
EXCELLENT VIDEO! NO TALKING!!!
Thank you Very Much for teach us, and congratulations for your inventive!. A big regards from South America
Very good presentation and a good idea as well. Thank you for sharing this with us.
i make architecture models for work and if there is something annoyin is to cut the strips.. i use a sort of dense cardboard. can't wait to build this, thanks for the tutorial!
Holy cow! That's one good jig.
Well that's as simple as can be. And looks like great results with ease. Thanks for sharing your simple tool, it will prove to be very useful for me.
Excellent. Thank you for sharing your cutter!!!
I could see using this same tool on foam-core as well. Great design!
That is brilliant.!!!...got to make me one..Thank you for showing me how.. Alan
Brilliant...I'll make one tomorrow....thanks so much!!!
simple and well done!
Great idea and process. Thank you for sharing.
THANK U 4 THIS VIDEO A LOT OF HELP
In addition to an adjustment screw someone else mentioned for setting the cut width, I think I'll add a slide vernier caliper so there's a built in means for measuring. There are adequately accurate inexpensive plastic ones on eBay.
simple. I like it!!!
That was awesome
Pretty slick!
Great technique. Thanks for sharing.
Good For You!
Great idea !!!
Excellent video!
good job.great design thank you
Nice idea
very useful, thanks.
Sanjay, I made one of these yesterday 3/11/22 before I start my MK1 Spitfire build . thank you
A great video , " well explained " thanks
Awesome. Just gotta get the blade and its made. THX
wow what a great idea thank you
Great idea to cut balsa wood.
An improvement would be to use a lead screw to slide the blade. This will make the depth of cut adjustment very easy and precise.
Excellent tool
Muy buen aporte, felicitaciones, esto indica que se encuentra dentro del circulo de ingenieros, saludos...
Good one mate!
Very nice!
Good stuff.
ขอบคุณมากครับ ออกแบบง่าย ใช้งานได้ดี ต้องทำใช้แล้วล่ะ
very smart, well done sir.
Muy bueno desde Salamanca México
Awesome, what thickness wood planks could you cut with something like this?
Nice video. Good idea, good cutter. What was the thickness of the balsa wood?
i wonder if this would work for leather too....? ill give it a shot. what wood did you use?
Very nice !! magnificent !! I think this is an energy efficient tool !! given that the only wood would be plywood. instead of wasting energy by using an electric saw blade.
some sort of guard would be a great idea
Best strips in town,
Very Nice Sir .
Might be great for cutting self stick floor tiles as well.
well done
Brilliant
excellent
I need that, because I want to cut the size of 5/16 and 5/8 cut like lego size that's good one. I like this one.
unbelievable
Aferin !
great idea... but will it cut rosewood?
Nope, too hard, might do it in 3 or 4 passes.
...and: how often can you fix the slider with woodscrews? it never works this way with hardwood
What about a ruler marking in the mobile piece?
What kind of cutter are you using?
he needs to patent and market this product. could make a lot of money off of it
Would it work for hardwood too?
Not in one pass.lol
How make cut for 45 degree?
Good gadget, but it looks like it's ideal for cutting balsa. Perhaps harder wood would not be so easy to cut.
Smarti pants ...
would this work for leather?
If the razor is sharp then it should
This is very similar to a lace/strap cutter shown in Bruce Grants "Leather Braiding" book. If this was clamped to the edge of a table a full pelt could be worked through it much like and Australian strander.
where to get that blade
+Danisha Singhal normal paper cutter blade
what is the material that you cut? it is white so I am confused by the color. If it is wood, then what kind of wood? Thanks
+John Conrad its balsa wood, that's why you can cut it so easily with just a razor.
what is it for?
+EctoGamer okay i didint watch to the end and now i saw
ya
Затягивать лучше винтами а не саморезами.
this is balsa wood this cutter will only work on this type of wood becouse balsa is soft...
You can learn more about it on woodprix website I think.
Stodoys plans help with such details.

I think this is amazing! It really works wonderfully.
I am sure you can still buy handbook with all info you need on woodprix. Just google it.

do it yourself , go to woodprix page and learn how .
This video should be more about cutting strips, rather than making the wood strip cutter. For 90% of the video you just played with the blocks.
