Chris Molyneaux stop complaining the leafs lost. I used to be a little fan of the leafs, then they got JT and all the cup talk came up. Now i despise the leafs and they will never win anything with this team and that brings me a very happy feeling.
Let me just ask you one question. Why would the league want to make the leafs lose. The leafs are the team that has (whyever) the biggest fanbase in the league. If they would win the cup the league would make millions of money of it. Yet it is a (somewhat) fair competition, and at the moment the leafs can compete, yet they don’t dominate. They’re still in the race you know that right?
Is that playoff hockey. Bruins fans were worried they might not keep up with the leafs speed after game 1. Overreaction is abundant in the postseason from fans because literally every next game is more important, thus the sky is falling mentality when they lose it.
Not going to happen. Most of the lower bowl at the ACC (Scotiabank) are filled by Bay Street Boys in suits. 1/2 the time they're not even at their seats...
The refs lost control of that game imo. There were definititly a few questionable calls / no calls on both sides (I'd say we got the worst end of it). But regardless that was the Bruins game no matter what. We let them dictate the pace and style completely. You could literally feel the energy in the arena watching on TV. We need someone to fight DeBrusk or Backes next game to set the tone. Cant let that happen again.

I have watched the Leafs all year " not a fan" or should say not my team. They are fun and skilled, I go through the comments on this and Purple pension on SB. After every loss and most wins I see a lot of complaints about how the leafs got screwed by the officials and never get any calls. You guys need to make your own team accountable not everyone else.
If this style of play keeps up, someone will be hospitalized by game 4. I'm sure after last nights game there are a few banged up pretty good. Totally agree with this video. I don't understand why people think playoff hockey means no rules. Playoff hockey is more intense; there's more hits, tougher efforts, more skill on display. What it is not is hockey without rules. You get a good hit in, great. You elbow a guy in the face? Charge and leave your feet? Two-hand drag a stick across someones face? Trip them? Interfere with them? That's not playoff hockey. Playoff hockey doesn't mean the rule book goes out the window, and the fact that this happened in this game was absolutely ridiculous.
Kyle McLellan I feel like playoff hockey should be a bit looser tho. Obviously not no rules like this game. But the softer calls should be avoided to avoid controversy. But obviously all blatant penalties should be called no matter what.

I'm torn...i love games without penalties because 5v5 is better...but when you literally let boston do wtf they want it's insane. they looked worse than the 07 ducks last night. dermott's nose gets broken, could be 5 and a game...no call, but they call a kadri stick infraction....at that point you get a helpless feeling, like: i can't do anything, the players can't do anything...we just lose.

This team is going nowhere unless Matthews gets engaged. Invisible in Game 1, Invisible in Game 2, invisible in about 50 regular season games. Zero compete and zero desire. If they get knocked out by Boston and they have to pick between Matthews and Marner.....then Marner....all day. Matthews plays day in and day out like he doesn't care. Zero engagement.
