      No problems. Thanks for watching. Enjoy your trip. Check out my Ayutthaya playlist if you want some ideas of things to see. I’ve made over 100 videos from there.

      Time is running out for the old Bang Sue station. It was supposed to be closed last year but since they still don’t have the bridge built that leads into the new station, they have had to keep it open. The last I heard was this October it will be closed but you never know. I like being able to get food on the platform, not possible inside the new Bang Sue Grand Station.

      It’s a short trip out of Bangkok but lots of fun. I’m always amazed at how fast it gets rural in Thailand.

    where do you buy the ticket

    • @endlessjourneytravels
      @endlessjourneytravels  Před rokem

      You buy the ticket from the ticket booth right next to the tracks. You don’t need to reserve or buy online just walk up to the station that day. You can’t miss the ticket window since most everyone is standing around it.

    Really useful thanks, a question what’s the current status of hualamphong - open still or not? I aim to do this trip from there in January. Thanks again!

      It’s still open. They have announced several times that it’s closing but there are many issues making it impossible to close and move everything to Bang Sue. The latest is it will be open at least another year. You won’t have an issue next month. Glad the info is helpful and enjoy your trip. :) thanks for watching!

      The lady at the restaurant in Ayutthaya said it closed because of covid and had no idea when it will resume. Its a bit of a hike to the bridge to the south.

      It was just for a couple days. Now it’s back to normal. The last time it was cold like this was about 2010. Not normal that is for sure. I liked it but Ple was very cold.

    Can you still get train for Ayutthaya at Hua Lamphong station or is it closed for good???

    • @endlessjourneytravels
      @endlessjourneytravels  Před 2 lety

      Hua Lamphong was supposed to be closed last year but for many reasons it’s still open. They are saying this fall it will be closed but you never know. You can take the train from Hua Lamphong to Ayutthaya. I took it from Bang Sue on this day because it’s closer to where I live and it is about 20 minutes faster. Both stations are very easy to get to with the MRT.
