    This is one of the best brake jobs for Cayenne 958! Thank you for your very nice video!

    Kevin , I think the camera likes you man. I mean you have a really good manner in how you break down seemingly difficult garage projects to make it seem like anyone with half a brain can learn them. Thank you for the videos.

    Thank you for the upload! One question: what about the electronic parking brake? Does it necessary to do the park brake locking - unlocking procedure via tester before and after the discs change?

      Please address this question. As you mentioned, you were lucky to not have resistance from the parking brake. How is it properly relieved of tension if the rotor sticks?

    Thank you for the video. Looks pretty straightforward except I'd add that the torque settings to mount the caliper to the wheel carrier is 104 ft/lbs (m14 triple-square), same as fronts. Should we use new stretch bolts on the rear calipers like we do with the fronts? Other fastners: M6 for hose bracket to wheel carrier 6.5 ft/lbs, M8 for speed cable to wheel carrier at 15 ft/lbs.

      Ideally yes you should replace the bolts after every use. I am guilty of not doing that every time. It is often overlooked. I could never find the torque numbers for the caliper bolts in alldata.

    Did you get any electronic parking brake error code after this?
    Do you need to do basic settings to electronic parking brake after replacing rotor?

      from the videos ive been watching before starting it this saturaday, you need a scan tool to do parking brake shoe grinding and calbration or youll get a service brake code.

    Hi Kevin, love your videos esp the one for the headlight upgrade, question, I've had an instance where the rear brake job setoff codes for the parking brake. If I don't mess with the settings I should be ok?

    Hey Kevin,
    I have same year and trim as you with black calipers. I’m getting conflicting info on which size rotors I need for front, 350mm or 360mm.
    What did you use on your fronts. Great videos by the way, keep them up!!
    Thanks

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage
      @KevinsEuropeanGarage  Před 3 lety

      Yes you will get conflicting info. My 2013 has 360mm rotors up front. I think the 2011 has the 350 but I am unsure. Best to measure the diameter. If you end up having 350mm I have a set of unused powerstop rotors and pads at a good price haha. At first I thought I would have 350mm and not the 360mm I was wrong.

    Could you send the link to the break pads and rotors you are using ? Or the name ?

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage
      @KevinsEuropeanGarage  Před 4 lety +2

      I used Powerstop pad and rotor kit K5979. Go to powerstop.com and put in your vehicle information they will show you a list of of the options. They will also have links to where to buy their kits. If you are going to replace the front ones be sure to measure the rotor diameter as they offer 3 sizes 350 360 and 390mm. A base Cayenne can have either 350 or 360mm diameter rotors. That might also go for the S too. Thanks for watching.

      @@KevinsEuropeanGarage Thank you for the information, Sir. Your videos are really good. I have a quick question, do I need new brake sensors and also a bolt and the anti-rattle clip or I can use the one already on the Brake ?

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage
      @KevinsEuropeanGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      Raoul thanks for watching. I would replace the brake sensors you probably would break them trying to get the off the old pads. They aren’t very expensive. You could desire that clip again as long as it has plenty of pressure. Most brake kits like the one I used from powerstop come with everything you need. The brake I stalled have been holding up nicely. For the price powerstop is hard to beat.
