Childe Hassam, Artist: A Short Personal Sketch, 1932 | From the Vaults

The American Impressionist painter Childe Hassam is known today for his depictions of New England landscapes and portraits of life in turn-of-the-century New York. In this “personal sketch” of the artist, watch Hassam go for a swim, play golf, review preparatory drawings, paint in his studio, and even stroll through The Met’s galleries-where he goes to visit his first canvas to enter the Museum’s collection, “Coast Scene, Isles of Shoals” (1901). Featuring a new musical score written and performed by Ben Model.

I think the early house in the film is on David’s Land
