    You mention it in the title, of course, but the fact that these are built here in North America by workers being paid a fair wage - while still being super competitive (or better) with other carbon wheel manufacturers - is no small feat.

    Not the lightest but all of the weight is used for strength, not paint and fillers. I got a ding and I used sand paper to get it out. I finished it off with 10,000 grit and that matches perfectly with the original finish. I'd buy again, hands down.

      @@scottmtb122 I don't think there would be any difference noticeably in rolling speed to anyone except like Richie Rude. The vesper hubs so far are flawless and by far the best hubs I have ever got my hands on. I've heard good things about them in the wet but can't personally speak to that as I live in Cali.

    • @jamesmiller6790

    Mine broke on the second ride and warranty from the US is not as easy as it sounds. You have to pay for a domicile shipping to BC that’s expensive and pay for the re-lacing and new spokes and nipples, if you brake the rim it’s going to cost you about $200 to fix it when it’s suppose to be a warranty specially if they did not hold up for even a month , I ended up doing the return to the bike shop I bought them from.

      @aidenthwaits2646 Před 3 lety +3

      @@aidenthwaits2646 I'm not sure I care if the WA1 rims are stronger because the Hunt rims have been pretty much the most indestructible things I've ever ridden. I've but them on my 170 enduro bike and rode the same trails 3 months later on my Commencal hard tail.
      And you are right that these hubs are nicer than the "higher-end" Novatec hubs Hunt uses. But I don't know about stronger. I haven't had a single issue.

    I really dont like those lifetime warranty policies.
    Especially on things like rims, that just encourages being reckless with them and treating them like shit.
    In addition it drives up the price, since the manufacturer also has to cover future rim replacements.

    • @wellstanner3216
      @wellstanner3216 Před 3 lety +7

      I hardly think it encourages people to be reckless with them. If you break a wheel, chances are you will be bike-less for a quite some time especially with current circumstances. That is unless you have a spare wheelset.

    • @cup_and_cone
      @cup_and_cone Před 3 lety +2

      Not really... once people realize they have to pay return shipping costs and don't have a wheel to ride on for several weeks is enough incentive for most people to not try and abuse the program.

      @@Mediarahan003 thats a stretch. ENVE does quite a good job across the board. The only reason I would suggest against ENVE is because of the internal nipples.
