Saw a shoot interview with Patera in 2008 and he was shooting, drinking, dipping, hanging out. It's 2022 and Petera is shooting, drinking, dipping, and chilling out. Some things never change. Great interview. Patera is always hilarious.

In 1986 I took my first trip to Tampa,Florida with my dad at age 13. We visited a friend of his that told me back then he was at a party with some Tampa area wrestlers,and Andre was there. He said Andre drank 117 beers that day. I didn't really believe him,how could I right?? Fast forward a few decades later and all these stories come out about Andre's drinking on the internet. 🤷♂️

If hee did not have teh bad knee he would have beat Alexeev who was then deemed the Worlds Strongst Man for the Gold Medals. Patera's lifts were outrageous, its a shame his knees for wrecked. Didnt help he went out and got hammered til 3 am before the competition when they told them the games were cancelled after the shootings but then in the morning they told him the games were back on

I was drinking beer outta those cans that had the ring on the top and I'd gotten into the habbit of sticking those rings on my finger. Id been drinking beer all day and went on a beer run and i ran a red light and a cop stopped me. He said "How much have you been drinking?" I said "Yeah, ive had a few." He said "About that many?" Pointing to my finger with about 13 rings on it. Lolololololol. BUSted. I said "Um. Exactly that many." He wrote me a ticket for running a red light and told me to take my drunk ass home--in those words. I said "Yes sir." Luckily i already made it to the store and was on my way back. I quit putting those damn rings on my finger after that.😂😂😂
