Super helpful. Thanks for sharing all the details and explanations. That dude has quite a bit of rust or maybe it was mud adding to the look of it.

First off- Thank you for this. Got 2 quotes for $1200 each to do my brakes on a 2019 Ridgeline. Couldn't stomach that so I did them myself, after watching this video. Did them almost exactly how you did. But.. I noticed a squeal that didn't go away. Thought my caliper pins weren't lubed enough. Anyway, I noticed that one caliper pin is cracked on the flat part where the bolt goes through. I didn't have it placed right in the notch of the bracket and must have bent it when putting the caliper back. I cleaned everything up and put it all back together a little while ago. Brakes seem quiter now.. bit I only drove a few miles to my house.
Aside from the cracked caliper pin, I don't remember if I put the pins back in the same hole they cane out of. Does that matter? For example on this video, the pin with the rubber bushing was in the top hole. I think I'll have to take my tires off yet again and look but I just want to be done with this. Kinda makes me wonder if I should have spent tge 1200... but I still don't think so. Thanks!

You were really thorough explaining the process but then kinda glazed over the return spring installation. Would have been helpful to see their installation and orientation.

Just did my brakes. I found it easier to put the springs on after the brakes are on the bracket and attached over rotor with 20 mm bolts hand tightened. I pinched the brakes together as I connected the springs. You have to hold the brakes together as you put the caliber back over the brakes to secure. Then you can do the final bolts through boots and tighten all bolts.

I replaced mine and still getting a rubbing sound. What could that be? Is that a bad caliper?
