  • Thanks for joining me today.
For those that cannot find TP in theor local stores or maybe are trying to make what they have last, give this a try! Better than using corn cobs (Ask your great grandpa about that one Haha!)
I am not a proffesional when it comes to reusable toilet paper but I am doing the best I can with my knowledge and hopefully this video will help and inspire others. Thank you for watching!

@@jhudson_tiedye Regarding the poop on the arm scenario, I'm not sure anyone would just squirt a little water on that either without using a paper towel at least. To just sit there drip drying for 5 minutes seems a bit...hmmm
Also how are men supposed to stop the poop water from running down their scrotum?
I have to imagine now there is at least a few husbands out there with a rather unpleasant case of "brown balls" 💩

I started using cloth tp about 10 years ago. It has made such a difference in the amount of tp we use. I just cut up old white T shirts....I don't make sure each piece is the same size & shape. I don't care, considering what the purpose of it is ! I just stuff them in a cloth clothespin bag. I hang the bag on a hook near the toilet. I have a flip top can w/a pedal.....the can has a bucket liner. So I just pull the bucket out & dump it in the washing machine. I have never had any trouble w/odor.
This system has worked perfectly for me. I actually prefer the soft cloth to tp. We use regular tp for #2 , tho.

Thank you - I've seen other videos recommending a family cloth - some use diaper cloth, others also separate cloths and receptacles for #1 & #2 - some even color code them... lol
It works, saves money, and helps the environment.
Just work together, cheerfully cooperate, then figure out what to do with the money saved. In honor of it all, plant a tree somewhere - your home, park, school... - dedicated in live in your name.♡

But if you really need some toilet paper I will send you some. We got ours from the hotel they cleaned the rooms and replaced everything including toilet paper they gave it to my husband. We have a lot we have been giving it to our friends and family. We didn't get the toilet paper when the people that were inconsiderate about other people not having any got all of it. These people are very sad people, only thinking of there self's and not other people. I would be glad to send you some Toilet paper, Paper towels and tissue. have a Blessed day and stay safe. Teresa

Your video inspired me! I am also in WA State and Costco is still struggling to keep TP in stock for us, so I decided to go all-out Euro, got a spray bidet similar to yours, and am sewing family cloth today! I think it is funny to admit it, but I find this liberating. One less product I am buying every month! My daughter and I are also transitioning to cloth, reusable feminine products as well. my family and I have used family cloth for 5 years now. It's super easy if you use a bidet and there isn't any poop to wash off the wipes. Clean with bidet, pat dry with cloth, drop into a wetbag and done. Washing is just a hot heavy wash then dry. We use Seventh Generation Ultra Power Plus (cloth diaper and cloth pad safe). It's super easy!
ETA: If you don't have a serger, you can let the edge of the zigzag stitch drop off the edge of the cloth or use an overcast foot and it will stop the cloth from fraying.

The best way to clean yourself after going to the toilet is using water and soap with a reusable cloth as a wipe. Common sense. We use water and soap for everything in our daily lives. (1) washing our laundry. (2) washing our bodies.(3) cleaning our homes.(4) water and soap is used to clean and disinfect many things in our lives and keep ourselves healthy and others. As long as people have clean water a clean rag they will have a way to clean themselves after going to the toilet. It is also much healthier than toilet paper. But it is also time consuming when going to the bathroom . It is also quite messy at times to maintain the cleanliness of the rags that you use to wipe your bottom. People in America are not used to such things. They prefer quick and easy. Like using microwaves and toilet paper and hand paper and disposable diapers and disposable menstrual pads instead of cloth pads and cloth diapers anything that is quick and easy is good for most American people and that included myself. It is something that we are all brought up with. Change is a good thing for everyone. Look what happened recently . And the lack of toilet paper people went crazy. And all they needed was water and soap and a clean rag. I hope people are preparing for the bigger disaster that is heading our way sooner or later. God bless America

We also had a lack of TP in rural Australia. My husband took convincing too. I told him our babies wore cloth nappies/diapers. I also got him to watch Amber at Fairly Local Family. We were going to sacrifice dark brown bath towels. Thankfully adult son found TP. Can you believe he paid $9 for 4 rolls?

It is like cloth diapers, no big deal, rince the number two and one out like you would a cloth diaper and put it in a "diaper pail with some detergent in it and was like every thing else.
