im not world class runner, not at all, but at one point during an 11 night run alone in a track with just my phone light, i went beyond my body (out of body experience) in the flow (super potent) and i felt invisible and invincible like i could run as fast as i can with no effort. i eventually stopped cus it was terrifying to see the limitless potential we have after 200 meters of sprint at the end of my long run. amazing!

After my broken toe heals I could go on track and see how fast I run, and I'm guessing it'd be about 16 seconds for 100m. Maybe in the upcoming summer I could take sprinting as a hobby and get me to something like 14 seconds. That would be hype. Gonna be watching technique videos a bunch

Hello, I have a question as an inexperienced individual to a professional. Starting this year, I plan to study sports education and I still need a pair of shoes: 1. for the sports aptitude test (100m sprint and 3000m run) and 2. afterwards for the track and field semester. I'm still undecided whether to buy spikes (I'm leaning towards the "Puma Evospeed Distance Nitro Elite+ 2" or the "Puma evoSPEED Star 8") or to stick with regular running shoes and use my indoor shoes for the sprint. I would greatly appreciate a response.

Hi, can you make a video on sprint starts, as there is a misunderstood concept of driving the knees forward, but that is not true as that leads to knee extension and over striding, but rather you should be popping your thighs forward and then push the feet back. or something like that. thats my weakness, I sprint and drive but can't push my feet back but rather down. then that turns to overstriding in the following several steps.

  • @aberdeenkiko

For any short legged track & field athlete... Mista B. Johnson, running form way, is a good starting template, when just referring to the sprinta type ones. Meanwhile, for any long-legged track & field athletes... Mista J. Gatlin; is also a good starting template, just referring to the sprinta type ones, as well. Yet, if one has an even torso and legs length; then Mista D. Bailey; is the best template; for having a great running form way; while referring to the sprinta type ones.

    Hi, love your channel!!!
So I'm just getting into running(extremely fit and capable) and watched about 50 hours of different videos on high performance shoes:)
    I'm not really exaggerating...😬
    Here's my list
I'm wanting a shoe that does everything REALLY WELL if possible.
Also I have taken up sprinting for about 50 yards so I'm also wanting a non spiked shoe to do 50 yard HIT training..
    Any and all suggestions welcome.
One shoe to rule them all would be great, But if I really am needing two shoes to do both short distance running and sprinting that is fine. Doesn't matter about the budget. I just want what makes the best sense, But it would be nice if one shoe like the SUPERBLAST might do both really well..

Distance running has more back side mechanics, so "an oval shape more behind the body" to use the same terms as in the video (2:30), and a longer and more relaxed ground contact. You can see the 4 shape, but long after ground contact.
But in the discussions with the other coaches, they mention overstriding/overstepping and the trade-off between stride length and frequency… These are general mechanic concepts: they do apply in distance running.

Depending on how bad of a shin splint it is, if it were me I might take as much as 5 to 10 days of no stress on the shins at all before starting a strength training program. If you're not taking a good multivitamin multi-mineral recovery may take much longer.

Speed is speed. Fast is fast. I’m tired of people saying he got track speed but not football speed. Take all sports and every last one of them have acceleration & deceleration which have the same meaning in whatever sport.
