Matt, Chris and Dom are all stupidly talented and you're both absolutely spot on any genre they want, they do and absolutely nail it! Can't wait for them to go on tour again, they are insane live!

Muse have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012, they received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. As of October 2022, they had sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.
After a few years building a fanbase, Muse played their first gigs in London and Manchester supporting Skunk Anansie on tour.

As of writing this comment noone has mentioned this yet, but this track is from Muses seventh album Drones which is a concept album referring to war. The whole record talks about the story of a soldier who has gone to war and all of the ways it has affected his life. Also yes admittedly this song could have a double meaning knowing Matt Bellamys lyrics and be referring to a personal relationship

Matthew James Bellamy was born on 9 June 1978 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. He has an older brother named Paul. His father, George Bellamy, was the rhythm guitarist of the 1960s pop group the Tornados, whose 1962 single "Telstar" was the first US number one by an English band. Wikipedia.

Most bands start out as cover bands. Muse were into grunge at the time and they mostly covered Nirvana.
'Dead Inside' is the first song of their concept album 'Drones' on drone warfare, which tells the story of a person slowly losing their empathy and humanity to become a soldier/drone. The song is also inspired by his breakup with Kate Hudson.
And yeah, they've covered many genres! They haven't done a 100% rap song per se, but there's some hip hop elements in tracks like 'Break it to me' or 'Thought Contagion'. There's also some crazy vocals in 'Micro Cuts' or even opera in 'I belong to you'..

Muse are unique, Matt Bellamy's music is never heard before, they are 3 geniuses, Best live performers ever, I am a hard core fan ans as such we know all the lyrics,
You should try 2 live tracks in Royal Albert Hall London UK, Megalomania and Fury 2008, you will see Matt playing church organ and on Fury you will see the amazing power of his voice, Fury is on our top five songs an it's a bonus track who can beleive that, showing that this band is absolutly amazing and so good

there is no cover up, Matt Bellamy is very often inspired by classical music and we can find some short passages coming from classical musicians, Matt Bellamy came from a classical british academy of piano and got graduated.

They indeed started out as a cover band, as most high school aged bands do. This was in the early-mid 90's, when they were still developing as a band.
Maybe do some research before spewing your ignorance and ridiculing someone that did their research properly.

I highly recommend avenged sevenfold - dose. its about a urban legend that took place in 1954 in Japan about a dude that appeared in a bank in Tokyo his name is john zegrus and tried pulling out alot of money and his passport said he from from a country named taured which doesnt exist but he had documentation and proof otherwise, the police were perplexed and held him in a room and left to try to figure everything out. upon the police returning the man dissappeared and his belongings without a trace. It it theorized he is a time traveler from a alternative timeline that the axis powers won ww2. If you read all of this thanks for taking the time to do so
