I appreciate your effort. Just a quick suggestion. Make sure you have proper tools and safety tips are important at the beginning. Do research before you share info with the population. The type of cooling it is located in your owners manual. Nissan uses “blue” not “green” you didn’t even know why it was blue originally. Also the importance of not overfill the reservoir. Once again thanks for the video.
I have a 2014 Nissan versa sedan s plus. I wonder if it's he same process do you know? because you're right the dealer will want to charge me about $140.
well I used to work for Nissan, I doubt a smart tech would tell you different but, could be a difference in the vehicles, the note is different in some ways then the sedan. either way, if it works for you, congrats.
OEM Nissan and Honda is BLUE you can use factory or peak or Zerex but you don't want to mix green and blue together the original is supposed to be blue if ur using the green u need to completely flush the system and rinse it out with water otherwise u will mix blue and green together because it's still trapped in the heater core when u drain the radiator...Also a bit of advice next time dont remove the drain cock all the way u made a mess because if u look on the cap the coolant flows out from the bottom of that cap so that it comes out in a stream instead of a waterfall
A day with Mil prestone has the AF6300 coolant. Or Zerex equivalent at your local Walmart www.walmart.com/ip/Valvoline-Zerex-Asian-BLUE-Vehicle-Antifreeze-Coolant-1-Gallon/801754735
can someone help me! my reservoir is low and i need to add coolant I have a 2015 Nissan versa note. it says I need blue. but I only have a yellow Napa brand 50/50. can I use this at all?
+A day with Mil I do have some blue in it very little and I don't have any way of getting more blue. all I have is yellow and was wondering if it was ok cause I can't get any blue any time soon.
The different colours to anti freeze are just a dye that is added, as long as you're using an oat(organic additive technology)coolant as opposed to the older silicate based coolant, its all good, the only difference is if mixing dye colours you're going to get a horrible colour to your anti freeze, there are so many mis understandings surrounding coolant colours.
It's not going to cause overheating... By using anything but the A3/blue, you are planting the seeds of aluminum corrosion. It may take years for the engine to fail but the corrosion will put particulates in the system. Later on, things will go south. Massive fail.
Prestone can be mixed with any colour, and is patented (and can only be bought in one colour), so I disagree with the comments about the coolant colour.
Me too. I was told Green coolant for Nissan Notes . Oil and coolant are a different color once drained they don't stay the same color, gets dirty after a while.
You are not supposed to use regular green coolant. It is supposed to be Blue. The correct one is Zerex Asian Car Blue. It cost me 14.99 at O'reilly Auto Parts store. Or you can buy from dealer and pay their prices for theirs.
I changed my coolant yesterday on my 2008 Nissan versa ,one thing I bought that was great was the Lyle spill free funnel it make life much easier, you must buy one you will thank me
Carlos Gonzalez I would use phosphates based coolant. My previous car was a 2003 Altima. When I had my radiator replaced the shop used the standard peak coolant. Less than 1 year later I saw tons of crud inside so I replaced with proper p-HOAT coolant and the rust crud went away.
not supposed to be green. Nissan & most newer vehicles require blue tint antifreeze/coolant. buy the Nissan coolant, maybe that's why the friends car was over heating.
This is what the dealership required for this vehicle I don't know where you got your info but I got mine straight from the dealership and also I already put 10k miles and my car is perfect
Dealership are retards just so you can take your car back again for a more expensive repair. Never use that green shit bro it will eat away your radiator and then your gonna regret I knowledge I tried to put on here
You have no idea what you're talking about nissan coolant is blue dont use that crap he put in your car versa have problems as it is with coolant and the transmissions get hot and fail
see should of called me but noooooooooooooo you wanted to do it yourself and the dealer fluid is blue man funny lol and next time keep the plug in add a rubber small hose on the plug and you will have better guidance of the fluid
I did ask a certified Nissan mechanic and they said it’s ok to use the green coolant.
Hopefully everyone uses this video as a tutorial on how to NOT flush your coolant.
**Pulls the plug
“It used to be green but now it’s blue because of the....”

@@MilandIvanforlife7 Yes, green is universal more or less. But Nissan Versa Note specific is blue.
*good vdo*
I could not see where it was in your video because I don't know what to look for
THANKS
Love it :)
Your supposed to use Nissan long life BLUE coolant bruh.
Nissan Versa use blue coolant
Mathew Duchesne Rivera does the cover of the container does not specify the type of coolant???
Because the cover was blue
Wrong kind

Eric Marquez is the same process
OK thaks
***Every 30,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first service the cooling system (drain, flush, and refill)

Dee Dread I was following they told me because they were gonna charge me $200 for coolant flush but it only cost me $13
Yes
Did you mean blue coolant? Because my manual says blue
hello, I have a Nissan note verso 2016, SV, tell me how to change Fahrenheit to Celsius, power reserve from miles to kilometers, on the dashboard.
It looks like the plug have a neck for hose connector for drainage

Nissan uses blue coolant. That's what he should be replacing it with instead of green.
I hate that the base model doesn't have a temperature gauge
please describe the drain plug to me. it's on the driver side or the passenger? I am learning and trying to do it for the first time
luke skywalker on the driver side
Don’t learn from this guy, you should always check your owners manual, Nissan uses blue antifreeze, I recommend go check Chrisfix channel
you have to leave the plug in just undo the butter fly nut so you won't have coolant all over you and in every direction
Needed this
The homes gets an A for effort. It'd be funny if he grabs the bucket and dumps it by the curb.
Not only that don't know what coolant to use, you can't even remove the radiator cap in the beginning
...and he took the whole drain valve off as opposed to putting a line on the spigot and controlling the fluid's draining.
5:48 i think you not using the correct coolant, the blue one OAC type i think is the right one you should get.
Ohh god it's how to destroy an engine in 20 minutes or less
James Mcbreen lol I had the car for 2 years with the green coolant but yes I think the blue is better

Benally Brown the 50/50 is ok but I suggest the blue. When I made this video the mechanic said I use the green but other subscribers said use the blue
Wait! If you still have the blue in the radiator use blue if you’re draining the coolant you can use 50/50 or blue but I still suggest blue
+A day with Mil I do have some blue in it very little and I don't have any way of getting more blue. all I have is yellow and was wondering if it was ok cause I can't get any blue any time soon.
Benally Brown I suggest to just get more from the dealership

it's suppose to be blue
even opening tha cover would take u ages
Did you have any overheating problems after you did this?
Robert Easley no over heating at all
Robert Easley but I do suggest using the blue radiator fluid from the oem

Also it will cause problems over time if you use wrong one. Especially corrosion and issues like that will happen extremely fast.
You should be fine for a small while if you they use a thicker ratio then 50/50 maybe 60 40 or a bit more ,corrosion is do of water calcium content,
Good video
aruna khan thank you but just to let you know it's better to use the blue coolant from Nissan
Ok but my Nissan uses the old green coolant so thanks for the advice, continue making good videos like this I will support them.

Why did you upload this video...everything you're doing is wrong and dangerous. Yo no comprende!
Next time, put your caps on PROPERLY if you want to control the coolant leakage. Not sit them on.
Jesus. Downvote.
GREEN coolant? Hahaha. Don't buy this car used!
How about 2008 Nissan versa s ?
Nope... its supposed to be blee!!!!. You don't want to use green fluid in modern asian cars. Green fluid is old stuff, corrosive....
Took to long
