Having studied in UP I can say there are a lot of people like him but there are also people who are so nice and calm and do not swear one bit, they come from humble backgrounds and are focused on achieving something for them and consequently their families. It is this contrast in personalities that makes UP so unique.

At times you're mixing Bihari with UP's native tongue
No one dares grabbing a girl on the street. Its something rapists would do, don't imply that all UP wallas are molesters/rapists. Its a nation-wide problem.

Prateek Sharma I have lived in both eastern and western UP. And I can confirm the dialect and accent is somewhat closer to that of eastern UP. However, NCR is no different. Their language is even more rough.
I don't want to stereotype them(which i already did), but I do find their accent attracting.

I would like to mention the same for eastern UP
To the creators of this video - Don't feel bad because of all the hate and negativity around you. People these days have been conditioned to be too sensitive about everything and are hurt very easily. What you have portrayed is 100% correct. This is exactly how the majority of people in UP are.
And to the women crying about the rape jokes - These aren't jokes. This is a representation of what actually happens in UP, and this is EXACTLY how men talk to each other and to women here. In my opinion I'd say this is an exact replication of the cheap mentality of the people here.
I don't think people who've never visited UP have any right to comment that this video is hateful and what not. It's not. It's extremely accurate. And even those who HAVE visited UP or have relatives there have lived either pretty shielded lives or have never been able to see UP through the eyes of the common woman. It's terrifying.
If only women who've been born and brought up in UP would come here and comment, you'd see how it really is like living here. Crime is waiting to happen at every corner. This is not hateful ranting - it's the truth that I've witnessed for 27 entire years, as a middle class woman from UP. Men will obviously have a different version, and they will defend it by saying not everybody is like this. Well, duh. They aren't. But the majority IS. Denying reality is not going to improve anybody's life; if anything, it will go on to highlight how all we Indians do is show outrage when flaws in our upbringing and 'culture' are brought in front of the entire world to see.

yes madam you might be right with few instances of harassment happening in u.p with women. But let me tell you I am also a young women from u.p and being born and brought up there surely wasn't as rosy. But at the same time how can you agree with the creators of this video that every upite is like how it is exactly portrayed in the video? Don't you have family members that are men who are decent and totally unlike the person shown in the video? Atleast stand up for people you know in u.p who are nice men. No body is denying reality. We all have witnessed and read as well in newspapers. But a channel on youtube that has been fun and entertaining to watch comes up with a video on your home state portraying everyone as molesters and rapists is totally something very offensive and reflecting their lower standards. You have a right to your point of view and I to mine. However, please don't consider yourself as a brand ambassador of U.P and generalise your views for the entire women born and living in U.P. Not every men in u.p is like the guy shown in the video. If there are things to hate about u.p. there are also things to be proud of in u.p.

I was born in UP. I was educated inside UP. And lived there most of my life. And I belong to middle class family. What u r saying here is story of a girl everywhere in the country. Rape is bad. Anamika Agnihotri I was also born in UP did my schooling there,did my graduation from Delhi and have worked in Bangalore and currently working in Mumbai.Trust me UP people have spoiled the culture everywhere whether its Delhi,Bangalore or Mumbai. Most of the crimes done in Delhi were by people from UP or Haryana (border).
In Mumbai most of them work as auto driver and they are always ready to make your life hell.
Though they have fixed meters here in Autos still as soon as you come out of Airport,they say will not go by meter and ask huge amount

I have seen girls in shorts and party dresses till late nights in Mumbai that too alone but I can't imagine that even in Lucknow, Kanpur,Allahabad,Varanasi or Meerut( All major cities of UP personally have been to these places)

#BeingIndian you people have probably lost it this time. Im a person from UP, did my higher studies in Maharashtra, stayed with almost every community across India and i can definitely say what you people have depicted is entirely a misconception and a brain child of probably a mumbaikar.
Ill try to be specific
1. First and foremost the tone is not perfectly Upite It changes to bihari at least twice in the video.
2. Most of the descriptions are not true for any Up person, no matter how much u try to justify it, they are just wayward.
3. Mockery is good, but this man holding the hand of a lady on road didn't seem funny at all.
4. If you think Up people are molesters, come ill show u the beautiful people from mumbai and what they do on the streets.
5. This tone is not at all spoken in majority of UP and thus the mass of people cannot even relate to your video.
6. I must agree that i did laugh at points in the video, they were brilliantly portrayed, but the turnoffs were way too many.
I love being mocked and i was literally waiting for this video, was thinking why is it taking #beingindian so long to make one for UP. Its human nature to laugh at ones one description the most, an indian will laugh the hardest when a foreigner will enact him, but this one has fallen straight on its face.
You people could have done better, i know you can, this topic has so so much potential to create . People will laugh their pants off, even if u make multiple videos on the same region UP. But this just isin't the one.

We lucknowites are known in whole India for our hospitality and hum and aap culture. Don't compare our accent with bihari. We speak awadhi, the language that Sri Ram used to speak. Its pretty sad that you guys come up with this piece.. I always liked your videos. I born and bought up in UP. spent 21 years thr before moving to Delhi. I agree UP has many shortcomings and still fighting to get its share of "Glory" but this is not actual story there. People in your team who are from UP need to work lil harder and give you real picture, not just an hour's activity of a panwala's shop can translate into whole UP experience. It is much more than that. I expect you guys to be a lil more sensible when you talk about such sensitive things. I admire ur work though, but seriously, this time u really made me sad.

I'm from UP and I've lived here for 23 years of my life. I never came across anyone like this. Why would you make a video to demean entire state and people just because, I quote "Many people from your team are from UP and you guys have good laugh everyday" - because they are like this ?. Well, I get what you're saying but believe me when I say, there are people like these in rural Purvanchal UP (I'm talking about that ladki harrasment waala part (yeah it's sad I know but that's what the reality is), rest ones you can find in urban UP too). I agree some of its the bitter truth but the way it has been depicted is sad. The accent is totally from Purvanchal. The IAS and collector more refers to Purvanchal. It's just not how UP as whole is. I m from UP kanpur, i loved this video. But let me tell u that conversation was more of Bihari type than the UP. Though the same language which has been used here is quite present and spoken widely in Allahabad, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. But the best part was Humre Chachcha.
And few UP phrases are- Zyada Aurangzeb na bano, Bahut pele jaogey, abhi tumhra sara bhokaal utaar dete hain.

I liked the video, its very good [like all others from you guys]. However, I object to just one scene where the guy holds the girl on the street. I am from Kanpur and I have not seen this happening [although every other thing in the video is very real]. I would request, as I can only request you to scrap that particular scene. Please consider that your videos are watched by the whole country [and even outside country]. While its good to make fun of oneself and laugh on it, the act where a guy molests a girl on the road sends out a very negative image of the state. If we cannot improve the image, lets also not try to bring it down. I totally understand that you mean no harm and its all humor. I love your work, way to go..!!
