I was in Bangalore for 5 years and then moved to Gurgaon. In this standup video I talk about my experience as a North Indian living in Bangalore and challenges I faced when I decided to move back to Gurgaon and finally to my village.

Only the one who are familiar with cultural differences. Many think Bihar and Bengal are North Indians but they are Eastern.... that's why British soldiers were part of East India company not North. Whole Indian wasn't looted or Controlled for 200 years by British only the Eastern part which includes 100 years of Revolt, fight and 100 years of looting.

@@surajmehra8964 it would take time to change but i have seen a massive improvement around my neighborhood and friends due to me some gawaar people are still the same though. I am from UP btw but as they consider both up and bihar same. You should know that Eastern up is more cultural and civilized than the western up and this delhi, haryana, punjab. I get discriminated in UP while being from UP, that's the condition. People here aren't educated even till 8th, they ask me and my siblings if we are continuing our studies after my mother's demise which happened in September. While even the poorest people of eastern UP have atleast graduated with a lot more difficulties. When i went to my college for my semester exams, i was sort of blown away by the amount of clear cut knowledge students had here, they were more studious than me although they do not live in main city and bungalows (i don't live in a bungalow either but i live in the city which isn't very developed or civilized by the citizens) but i noticed that every perdon even the poor have smart phones and an internet connection now so that helps with the awareness and quality education. The only thing that differs between the rich and poor apart from financial health is the 'urge to work hard/study' something that got encapsulated within me since i was a child.

As a south Indian , I have seen the ignorance of many who think everybody above karnataka is a North Indian.
Hopefully the next generation corrects this.
And most of us Indians who run restaurants of other cuisines , we make a total mess of that food.

We have a lot to learn. I already said that anything above karnataka, people think its north India. A lot of ignorant people around but the numbers are very less. When you look at social media, the hype is very high and we get swayed away by some hearsay others and social media.
I have lived from east to south and havent faced issues like what is shown on social media.
The ground reality is people are far more knowledgeable and tolerant than what is shown on social media.

I love Maharashtra and its people, they contribute the most to our economy and they never bitch and moan about how much they're getting back, they're very accepting of people from other regions, there's never any linguistic discrimination and they're proud of their own culture as well. Good people.

Very nice balanced and accurate comedy by not hurting anybody's feelings! Now that in itself is an achievement.
From childhood, i have lived all over India and enjoy every region s culture and language.
If we learn different languages with passion, you will learn to appreciate the diversity of India.
Only thing i have noticed is people from North of karnataka and Andhra, generally don't try to learn the local language although they live and make a living in the south.
They will be looked down by their relatives and friends.
Whereas the south Indians may refuse to learn Hindi in the South, but moving to the North, they will not complain and quickly learn the language.
Maybe due to Bollywood from early days, South India and its accent is always made fun of!
Try learning different languages and you will see how it is difficult to twist your tongue accordingly.
Abe bsdk in Karnataka we learn hindi language and we write Hindi exam while study in SSLC and puc too and Sanskrit too (depends on students, to pick )

But one thing Bharat is a country of diversity. You have to respect the language where you are staying.
You will feel relieved in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh where you may not face language problem. But in Tamil Nadu Kerala you should learn Tamil and Malayalam compulsorily
Although in bangalore you can get by using english and some hindi, we kannadigas will appreciate it a bit more if citizens from other states just tried to pick up a few words/slangs...
Please don't just expect everyone to know hindi/english. Just an advice.

Same thing happened to me when I took a cab from Vasundhara Enclave to (Old)Delhi station! He never put on the AC in 45-50 minutes drive saying there's some technical problem!And I can't get down on the way that too in the night! Well,he didn't ask me where I was from! 👍
