That's definitely DAM Baragon, you can tell by the upward curved horn and the ears shape, don't why they market as Baragon 1965.
Likely a mistake on their part, be it an unintentional label or whichever. Unless they really thought both were exactly the same lol which, not gonna lie, I did too.
I hope playmates makes more kaiju's like this like Varan, Kumonga, titanosaurus and manda or even gamera and ebirah or giant condor. From ebirah horror of the deep and also minilla or gabara and hedorah or king caesar or mogura and godzillasaurus and maybe monster x and Kiezer ghidorah or even desghidorah,grand king ghidorah and Cretaceous King Ghidorah and kameboes and orga or maybe even zilla and megagurius and kiryu.
Titanosaurs, definitely.

This figure is truly decent. The Amazon price weirdly fluctuates but I got it for 16. Playmates deserves a lot of props getting these figures out for collectors at such low prices. I lost out on 2 X-Plus Baragons but this dude genuinely looks nice on my shelf.

This Baragon looks absolutely stunning. He's a no-brainer to pick up.
Playmates is fantastic and keeps getting better and better, I love this figure!! Hopefully more Showa monsters will come since they are giving us underrated characters such as Gorosaurus and baragon

Playmates sell this figure as Baragon 1965 (Frankenstein Conquers The World), but according to its horn position and his ears, it's Baragon 1968 (Destroy All Monsters), wich is better 'cause the only way to get one right now is from X-Plus (Ric version). Even Mezco gave us a 1965 version in their Destroy All Monsters boxes (as well as a 1965 Rodan, but that's another story).
Rip doc, he will be remembered for all the figures he has opened and all the memories he has made, we will never forget the legend.

The cutest ugly doggo kaiju to ever exist. It would be awesome if Playmates remolded this into the several suit variations that appeared in the Ultra series. But barry alone is quite nice.
Adorably baffling, a true treasure! Would be awesome to see Playmates get into the Ultra & Gamera IPs overall! Especially if they do a clever on the nose reusing of some Baragon parts 👀

Great video! I'm feeling rather stressed as of late so this was pretty uplifting.
I'm honestly considering getting this doggo since he's out before the Bandai one. But.. I'm saving the rest of me money on 2 bandai figures coming out later in March, so I'm in a bit of a pickle with these figures.

Upcoming Movie Monsters Series figures are getting me hyped. Ebirah, 1991 Ghidorah 13 inches in height, 6 inch Baragon and Hedorah? 2023 is an awesome year for kaiju merchandise.

Ghidorah is supposed to be almost 13 inches tall, the official height in centimeters is 33
I would think about getting this guy if I didn't pre-order the Bandai one, it still looks great though!

I love how you described that the new Bandai movie monster series 1965 Baragon I believe how it’s different for the playmates like suit wise and I can see what you’re talking about like the playmates represents destroy all monsters paragon in the new Bandai movie monster series represents Frankenstein conquers the world. if you replace its head and color it a different color scheme you can now have a pagos, neronga, magular, or gabora figure
Since Jet Jaguar Playmates has done amazing work on all they're figs since even rivaling Bandai.I prefer this one over the Bandai.The playmates has better details and looks more like the Frankenstein version.Hope they kerp releasing the less common Kaiju.Fingers crossed for. G73, Megalon and Titanosaurus.

Looks amazing just got mine still don't like the pre posed stances but still an amazing figure especially for less than 20 bucks
If the face didn't look so awful I'd actually say this is a pretty decent figure. I want to like playmates so bad but every single one of their figures that has any potential feels like it gets thrown away by one very wonky detail.
I don't know about you, Martin. But I think whenever their Hedorah drops, that'll likely be their best beyond GVKMG.
Because no matter how wonky Hedorah can't be THAT hard... right?
I will admit he's very much on the goofy side, but at least he's recognizable beyond all else.

Monster X and Keizer Ghidorah are all I saw last, but i haven't looked it into it much further since the initial leak. Grain of salt.
Kamacuras was on the voting poll that just concluded. Despite not making it beyond the first round, i wouldn't doubt Bandai continuing
their string of FW releases into next year with a Mantis boi.
