Love that Ebirah figure, never really cared for the character but I've always had a love for lobsters. The way he's painted and sculpted was perfect and I'm really excited to own him soon.

Ebirah is one of my favorite kaiju I love him he's so precious
The funny thing about this review is Ebirah was the Kaiju Godzilla fought in the aftermath of King Ghidorah's second attack on Earth
Im drooling over that Ebirah man, I got the YMSF years ago when it eventually came out and it was rad to have a figure of the guy, it just felt so bland… but this guy is everything I could want out of him 🥺
I really need to get myself a YMSF EBs one of these days. But I’m right there with ya!! Bandai really came out swinging for Best Appetizer Boi 🥹

The detail of King Ghidorah 1991 is very magnificent but I wish that figure should be more than 6 inch.
Maybe one day Bandai will utilize the Mega Movie Monster Series line for Godzilla… or bring the King Of The Monsters Line back lol

Man I was NOT expecting Ghidorah to be that freaking beautiful! The gold is absolutely fantastic and the details are just 😍 same goes for Ebirah! Glad some Showa kaiju are getting some much needed love, Y.MSF has got some competition now finally, maybe the prices will go down as a result haha. I can't wait to get my Ghidorah and Ebirah, I should get sizable HLJ parcel soon with most of the new figures included.

You know what would solve so many of the size issues with all these Heisei Kaiju? A smaller, 4 inch Godzilla figure. Most of the other Kaiju in the heisei series are 120m-140m compared to Godzilla's respectable 100m canon hight. Sure the suits for Moguera, Spacegodzilla, Mechagodzilla, Destoroyah etc didn't convey this fact very well, but the figures could if we got a downsized heisei Godzilla in the MMS line. I mean sure the existing figures are still disappointingly small, but it would take away the sting a tiny bit 😂
I'd like to see them do smaller figures like that for Godzilla Jr, and Little Godzilla. Although maybe Shokugan would be the way to go in that case?
I bought the Y-MSF Ebirah 2 years ago thinking they would NEVER make a movie monster series version. 😅 I wish I held back on my decision now.
But now you can have T W O which is better than one!
I still kinda wanna nab myself a YMSF Ebirah just for the sake of one of favorite monsters having better representation in the collection.
Unless Bandai want to make an all blue Ebirah too...

I intend to pick up Ebirah at some point. I don't think will do the same for Ghidorah here since I have the "bronze gold" version of the 98 Ghidorah mold that came out in the 2001-2003/4 window which is very similar in color to this new one aside maybe less shine under the light. Fun fact the 2001-2003/4 release tags picture is the same one used for this new release which is kind of funny.

Finally got Ghidorah and he's amazing. The head on mine were totally wrapped and colliding with each other but after some heat and cooling I was able to stretch them out
Got, *DAYUM* 91 ghiddyrah looks amazing. I think having both of them on the shelf is great, any gfan gazing at your collection knows the original is goated and how the new one is an improvement.

The dirty paint and detail is beautiful and realistic.

I definitely want Ebirah and I got hyped as you did when I got the Bandai Movie Monster Series Gamera 1995 Christmas year before and the Bandai Movie Monster Series Gyaos 1995 Christmas year after since Gamera, Guardian of the Universe was my very first Gamera film when I was a kid so yeah
I loved my old King Ghidorah figure. I got the more darker one back then. This figure gives me the same vibe, so this is definitely a keeper. Ebirah looks great, too. What's going on with Bandai? They're making good figures for once. I'd have given you my Ebirah plushy, if I knew sooner, that you're a fan of that giant lobster.

Thank God Ghidorah wasn't a gashapon, honestly the size of the Ghidorah is what I was hoping for, sure it would've been nice if he was accurately sized but honestly I like them at least being the same size as opposed to the mechagodzilla 2 released here recently, I like this Ghidorah! Ebirah was a surprise, he is pretty neat too, hopefully we get a final wars one soon too cause if memory serves me correctly I don't think we gotten a final wars ebirah to my knowledge that and I would absolutely love if bandai gives us the entire final wars cast.
I don't think It's possible to make Ghidorah much smaller than this for a main vinyl release... so help me God Bandai that isn't an invitation to try!!

I think the most we got out of Bandai as far as FW Ebirah was an Ultimate Monsters release, so a release much like this Ebirah would be F A N T A S T I C!

Its honestly the best looking Heisei KG we've gotten so far. The sculpt, to me, looks really accurate. The size is unfortunate but the figure still has enough mass to not feel absolutely dwarfed like Destoroyah or MGII. Its close enough to the same height as Godzilla for me to not mind it too much. A new SHOWA kg would be nice but, especially if its not the same height, I just don't think it will top the original 84 release. That thing is just too classic to be beat.
It's neat that they went to the trouble of making a new and improved mold for Heisei Ghidorah, especially when the previous MMS figure was already pretty good. Why can't they do that for someone like Space Godzilla, and get rid of that horrible gap in the dorsal fins?
I'm not sure why ALL the releases under the Movie Monster Series haven't been updated molds.
But I imagine it's cost related to some extent lol I thought i was a popularity thing at first, but now it seems more random.
But King Ghidorah makes all too much sense. Despite how good that new Space Godzilla was... he really could use a major upgrade!

will we be getting the playmates 2019 king ghidorah review? i got it and it really impressed me to be honest. and dumbbell joints at the head, a surprise and a welcomed one. a lovley sculpt and a much needed low cost improvement from the jakks 6" repaint and the....vinyl....yikes. only issue i have is the obvious, size. but for £9.99 what is not to love.
Will there be a Godzilla 1966 figure to go with this great Ebirah figure? Would be great if there was a Giant Condor figure too!
While I wish the '91 Ghidorah looked more consistent to the 2018 release of M-KG, on its own it looks very good! When I first saw those initial stock images I thought the mouth's were going to bug me (since the 2 open mouths are not on the outer heads) but seeing it here in the video it doesn't really bug me anymore. And the Ebirah is a nice addition to the MMS line, definitely an underrated kaiju (but I suppose it's for an understandable reason).
I'm also slightly bothered by the inconsistency with MKG lol I also don't get why people expected him to be bigger when there was already a figure (MKG) that was basically the same before this release. Still really solid, but I'd kept the MKG head design and color.

Is this figure the same King Ghidorah movie monster figure currently on preorder at bigbadtoystore? Or is it a separate figure? BBTS claims that the figure is 13 inches tall, but the one you reviewed seems to be a more normal size for a movie monster figure, thankfully.
The one on BBTS and this on here, are indeed the same.
