- With another "Mission Impossible" movie being released. This is my idea for an old TV show concept becoming a franchise. with luck some writer would see this, or one of the others. and they’ll get made.

I saw the pilot (movie) and loved it way back in the 90's. However, I think the current public wouldn't be interested in a romantisized WW II setting like that anymore. For scale modelers however the show would have been a great resource for different and interesting projects. Oops just realized I was thinking of another movie, not this one. As I understand Hogan's Heroes was more or less based on real events.... the real events being that indeed some american soldiers managed to rob a bankload of gold.
Ahh thank you for your input. You have illustrated the major problem in my life. Don’t matter what I say, I have to be wrong! I write it off as the Autism part of my Asperger’s. I understand ideas concepts and even jokes that go right over average and above average people’s heads. Don’t think any less of them. Just think more of me. So only the top 10% in the movie industry will truly grasp the concept. But unfortunately they are not the ones running it. So let me explain the concept. First it is not a movie, it is a formula., elements I have taken from TV shows that impressed me during my formative years. Like a TV show producers came up with to quiet those who complained about too much violence on TV. Mission Impossible, messed with the head of their objective to achieve their goal. Movies don’t do that. At least not the 2? I saw. This is why my hero’s are con men. I made them 2. For that Jim West Artimys Gordon, Kirk Spock and McCoy and Bar man and Robin type of format Newkek has two faces. The emotional McCoy as Hogans grind and the cool logical Newkerk the prisoners know. Make for good writing. Batman and Robin become no one knows who the really are. Even Hogan is pretending to be his brother. I put these guts from Texas because that is the state the Germans had in mind when they put the camp in the cold. These boys are from Texas! YOU DON’T MESS WITH TAXANS!!! That attitude goes way back. Those Germans deserve whatever they throw at them. Attract a large demographic with that. Just some good ole boys. Never meaning no harm. Been in trouble with the law from the day they met. Then there is the resistance. Hiding in the huge abandoned mine. Go on raids quite a distance away providing explosions and gunfire and action scenes to attract that demographic. Plus alternative side story lines and set up the “Return of the Jedi” thing it goes from a battle on the planet to a space battle to a mono a mono fight on the Death Star. Repeating. Tird you ask. The Gistopo Hosteler (forgive my bad spelling dyslexia) knows identified resistance members all disappear. And Hossteder has tracked them down to Dusseldough Not only that but Klink is getting heat for coddling the prisoners. Many possible storylines. With sub plots that could take a long arch to complete. But sub plot enough so if it don’t go the distance no big loss. Yes with the right people behind it. It could make money. And that is what they’re in business for

Sundance TV stations had on every Monday morning up till last year I still don't have way they took it off the air so they put on the Andy graffiti show to me is out dated
Don't think it would work today,! There no real score could capture the flavor of the old show don't think there Is any actors that have the comedy timing and flair of drama timing that would mesh today ! Plus the German people aren't same as back in the late ,,60*s. Don't really think they keep getting reminders of what Hitler and the Nazis party what they did to the Hebrew people the polish people and other ethics and to some German citizens and culture of all the people in world war 2 and before I know everyone all over the world that are thinking and concerned citizens to remember the horror and EVIL WICKED THINGS that they went through it is enough already , bringing back opening up old wounds getting them to fester all over again even though the show was a comedy and well acted should be put in the past times and let it stay there I can see it happening again. The hate for a race of people who want to have a good life be happy with it. Not having to worry about going out somewhere being afraid that some damn moron will want to kill them for THIER different belief worship GOD as they want to !
Wow , you must be woke. You seam more about labels and symbolism then entertainment with a good story line capable of many sort. Arch’s. You want a label. I have Asperger’s. I am talking above your ability to understand what I talking about. I first watched hogan’s hero’s when it was prime time. I loved the concept of American intelligence running a German reactance hub out of a POW camp right under the German mused. I did not like the campy comedy format presented. But I realized that too many survivors of POW camps would find the show offensive. It wouldn’t work as a Drama. Then. The resistance hub in the old mine will represent the Germans that hated hitler they are a necessity element for block buster It is a con man scam type move. Not a horror of war move like saving private Ryon (That was a block buster wasn’t it? It is set in WWii instead of 911 because it’s so far in the past it’s more remote to be less memorable today. It gives a format to utilize the story lines to be written. I am trying to make the right producers or writers make some money. Not appealing those who are looking to find fault in everything. Like conservatives. Can’t do that you must do it this way. Not capturing the “flavor “ of the show is what I was going for. “Thanks, for being smart enough to understand that much. Thanks again. With a little thinking, don’t take much tor me , I realize all you negative thoughts and talking care of by the Germans in the move. For example the German resistance that hate hitler and are working with the Americans to stop him. You have the head guard running the camp that is American sympathizer because he wants his family back (a German version of God family country priorities). Working under a Cornel that was a pPOW and insisting the prisoners are treated humanely using military money to supply the camp and hiring locals to help local economy instead of using the preferred supplies the military provided making it comfortable enough so the prisoners wouldn’t feel the need to leave. It is a con scam so there is interaction between the guards and prisoners where they can be portraying ha humans surviving an occupation and not true Natiz Try taking what’s bad and turning it into something good. Instead of you taking something good and making it bad. Better way of life.

Do you really think that the German people have forgotten what happened to them as a nation all the hate mistrust what the world saw them as ! Those death camps and ovens weren't for entertainment they were real and true maybe you know this fact all the German officers Stars of Hogan heros were all Jewish and escaped from Germany and the only way would be in the show if they played THIER roles as a bunch of idiots and fools if you think that the real German officers the SS the head of THIER air Force in charge of the camps guards of the camps medical personal were friendly and kind ,,(few were) then you need a wakeup call if you think hate of a entire race of people I FEEL very sorry for you because there is no reason to hate more so a whole country or people and think that it's a acceptable practice that's even more dispictable.
