- The "World's Chillest Man” who lit up a cigarette at gunpoint as his neighborhood bar was being robbed is still chill, more than a year later. Tony Tovar looked cool as a cucumber while the other patrons followed the robber's orders and hit the deck. Tovar works as a master mechanic and continues to patronize the bar where the alleged robbery was held. His boss at the shop says Tovar’s “a conscientious worker. He cares about what he does. I don’t think a lot of people realize what actually happened. A man stuck a gun to the face of another man with nothing to lose. He didn’t have a single thing in his life to keep him fearful anymore, It’s actually heartbreaking. If you listen closely he said “after all I’ve been through I’m not stepping down”. That sounds like a man who’s lost everything he’s ever cared about, so while he was amazingly brave I think it comes from a place of great sadness.
Morally Awkward- I had the same thought ! I wonder what was going on in his life to make him so - uncaring (can't think of a more appropriate word. Reckless? Thick skinned?)
