This’ll sound weird, but that’s probably one of the best sponsors you’ve had, and I think it’d be awesome to see you channel partnering with farms, ranches, and butchers. Just kinda makes sense
agreed... that Shadow Legends / Keeps / Manscape is CANCER!
@@g60force Ehh, Manscape is okay, I'll even watch their bits.

Please try dry aging a steak in soy sauce
Good idea
How exactly would that work? Soy sauce is liquid
@@Gvozd111 it is possible using a cheese cloth, just like the whiskey dry again experiment
@@Gvozd111 can thicken it
It is worth a try. But I think it will turn it into something more like corned beef than aging.
Sloppy joe is a legit comfort food for me. I love eating them from time to time.
That's SO weird, you must be human.
@Tarik St Patrick Woah, you can't just go around Sloppy-joe-shaming people like that.
@Tarik St Patrick Wrong, my household ate them regularly.
@Tarik St Patrick Nah, Only the arrogant would think them to be the Majority rule.
@Tarik St Patrick I'm not claiming to be right, you are. Never engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man. And you boy, are unarmed. I'll let you reflect on your decisions.
Angel is always so lucky. He gets to try all these delicious foods lol
But sometimes he has to try the awful experiments too.
@@FatAlbertFanClub And even after the awful stuff he has to clean the cooking equipment haha.
Andddddd he edits videos lol
The struggles of being a good describer of food lmao. Poor Leo. Angel gets to scrape the grill.
Nah they're fattening him up to dry age him
I've never had a sloppy joe like that. I grew up thinking a sloppy joe was ground beef & cans of Manwich. But I think I'll give this method a try the next time I plan to make sloppy joes.
this is relatable asf, school cafeteria sloppy joe has always been pretty terrible
I use mayo and shredded cheddar mostly and I've gotten Hawaiian sweet buns since they became more common
There is no better egg than a free range farm egg, trust me I grew up on a farm, chicken's diet and environment has a huge impact on the flavour of eggs.
These eggs fried with butter and seasoned just with a pinch of salt are devine.
As someone who currently raises chickens and sells eggs, i can verify. Farm fresh eggs are so much better than storebought, as the chickens roam around and eat insects, worms, whatever they can find+ their normal grain. Its unbelievable the difference it makes
I've never had an urge to make a sloppy joe, since school cafeterias ruined that for me, but I think I really need to make a sloppy guga. ❤️
i all ways here about how bad school food is i was all ways happy to eat the slop i didn't have to go home and do with out
Ayoooo
Or those horrific precanned sloppyJoes you can get at the grocery store, I will say I've never had a good sloppy Joe.
Ayo a sloppy what 🤨
@@1209MArky bro I had the same reaction
Dude I've been making that sandwich(gugas version)for years just without celery salt. The mixed in cheese and fried egg and everything. Lots of variations too. Got drunk one night while grilling and my coals died on the burgers I had been saving for last so I finished them inside but I had cut a few open to check them outside so those I just broke apart in the pan added extra seasoning and melted cheese on. Next day I reheated leftovers and added an over easy eggs and fell in love with it(but I was a little heavy on the seasons thanks to Guinness) so the recipe got tweaked for my sober palate. I stopped doing them on the grill when I moved back in 2016 but they're still good on the stove.. I can't call them sloppy gugas though. Cuz it's waaaaay too close to my recipe. You can do the same with breakfast sausage instead of beef and biscuits instead of buns and along with a Gatorade its great for hangovers. Food is awesome
I have never seen a sloppy Joe without a sauce being part of the ingredients.
Same here.. It's... Interesting.
Are you blind, he uses a sauce for both?
@@Elmer_RedEagle technically you are correct, but the amount of tomato sauce he uses is more like a seasoning, I’m talking about a sauce that is probably about at least a third ( varies by Chef ) of the total . It will be dripping out of the buns ( sloppy ) , this version is the least sloppy I have ever seen . I am sure either way it’s delicious.
Sloppy joes really are supposed to look like his original version, just that with large batches being made for cafeterias or food trucks also with some people not simmering the meat long enough, many sloppy joes are extra liquidy. Same with taco meat in my experience.
@@collectingonthecheap56353 well that’s fine , but I am talking homemade Sloppy Joes . There is no way I am eating a Sloppy Joe from a cafeteria or Roach Coach that is on the level of grabbing a Tuna Fish sandwich from a gas station cold section , not happening.
Sloppy Joe's are one of my favorites growing up!!! I haven't had one in years but will follow the recipe for the 2nd one you did with the egg and cheese - they both look awesome though!
I watch this channel so much that I know when it’s an old episode that never came out 😭😭 guga has hair and angel has the classic Miami cut!
Sloppy Guga. I love it. Looks so good. I'm making that this week for sure!
Guga's version is more like an elevated Chopped Cheese than a sloppy joe and there is nothing wrong with that.
I said the same.
My family always made a sauce for Sloppy Joes of 3 parts ketchup, 1 part BBQ sauce, 1 tbls brown sugar, and 1 tsp soy sauce OR Worcestershire sauce.
At 10yrs old, I tried to make the family diner and added both soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. The resulting meat was black and inedibally salty.
I love watching Angel eat... The expressions on his face are priceless!
Taking a nod from a NYC chopped cheese with number 2! I'm sure 1 is good, but 2 had to be phenomenal! 🔥
“Picadillo” is a dish made with ground beef. Ground beef is actually called “carne molida” in Spanish 👍🏻
Who asked
yup, and usually has potato and I dont like it lol

It's probably one of the many words/names that vary across different Spanish speaking countries. I've always known it to specifically mean mincemeat (which is ground beef without any additives)
I have a suggestion for you guga, try dry aging steaks in yellow banana paste and make a video about it. It should be an interesting one.
That ground beef recipe is exactly how I was trained to make meatloaf.
I love this!! Reminds me when it was just them two for alot of the Guga journey!🙂
Looks totally delish. Love this burger recepi
🐠 DRY AGE IN CAVIAR!! 🐠

@@DangerousOne326 I will do what I must
This is a great Idea
Wow! Childhood nostalgia kicking in.
The charcoal one looks amazing. I’d try putting the yolk side down on the beef so it can soak into the meat rather than drip on the side. Can’t wait to try this.
Totally agree on charcoal adding a lot of flavor!
Guga's upgrade of the sloppy Joe looks so different, and they describe it as so different, I think it's fair to call that sandwich the "Sloppy Guga"
Ferb I know what I'm cooking tonight! I haven't even thought about Sloppy Joe's in years. Growing up it was Manwich to my family, So I think I'm going to have to do an experiment of my own.
Love your videos, guga! I love catching them soon cuz i got notifications 📣 on
I looooooove how Guga says sandwishh :D This man loves the food he makes!
Please dry age in edible dirt/ clay. It would be so interesting to see what tones and flavours it would give the meat! 88th time asking btw?
@@ktw5141 ????
Can you dry age in cinnamon?
I'm really interested.
I absolutely love this channel and the content.
I like Angel's save there, "People like it when you cheat... with food."
These look good! Mine were always a lot more saucy growing up. Extra sloppy!
And I recall there being onions, peppers, maybe other stuff mixed in, cooked with the meat and sauce. This one Guga made reminds me of the old tavern style "Loose Meat Sandwich". But everyone's got their versions of things! All good. :)
Finally! A recipe we can all afford
The perfect and ultimate side to pair with Sloppy Joes is Cheesey Shredded Potatoes.
Super easy to make. Just mix 16oz sour cream, 1 can of condensed cream of chicken soup, 1 stick of melted butter, some salt, some black pepper, some onion powder, some garlic powder, 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese blend, mix it all really well, and then mix in 1 package of frozen Shredded Potatoes into the sauce.
Bake in a 9x9 or 9x13 pan at 350°F for 35 minutes. Then take it out, top it with a generous amount of crushed French's Onions, and then pop it back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Honestly one of my favorite side dishes, ESPECIALLY for Sloppy Joes. It's super cheap, quick, easy, and delicious!! Plus picky kids love it too!!
this one feels like one of the older guga videos, very nice
Looks yummy! Sloppy Joes isn't Sloppy Joes to me without some mustard and pickle on the bun (or better yet, pickled jalapeno)
Awesome video! Please make more dry age steak videos
I love Vital Farms, been buying their eggs for a couple years now.
Why does Guga always sound so cute when he says "so let's do it!". 🤣
Guga, try an experiment using dry freezing but re-hydrating the steak with beef stock instead of oil, because rehydration needs water right hence the name re"hydrate"ion . I bet it gonna taste amazing
He's already done it.
@@Donnieeeee Really? The last time i saw him doing the freeze dry experiment was the bone marrow and wagyu tallow rehydration stuff if I'm not wrong. I'm curious if he actually use water as the base of rehydration since it will bind with the meat more easily than wagyu tallow or bone marrow does.
Water + flavorings of course
Man, I'm not a big fan of sloppy joes, but I'd eat almost anything if Guga put it in front of me. 😂
Yo bro growing up in Philly and being Irish having meat was a treat! And when times were tough my mom would make sloppy joe and sometimes she would put it in a bun and other times she would add pinto beans some chopped up jalapenos which are rare for Philadelphia back in the day it was a real versatile food that got us through a lot of lean times!
This has probably been suggested soooooo many times but you need to have George Motz down as a guest at some point. As much as you love burgers, I would to see the collaboration between you two
Amigo GUGA, tens de fazer uns pratos típicos portugueses, tais como francesinha ou então bacalhau á Brás! Desafio te amigo Guga, é que são de comer e chorar por mais!!! Forte abraço dos Açores!
Sloppy Joe has been in our meal rotation since I was like 3 or 4 haha. Im 26 now and still dont mind it
A. Love that you seared the burgers over charcoal first.
2. Vital Farms are the only eggs I buy. Dark orange yolks. Fantastic.
Steak, egg and chips is still a classic flavour combo.
I haven’t had sloppy joes in forever. Definitely want to try the sloppy Guga. Looks delicious.
Funny enough, this reminds me of the modern day breakfast burger from Whataburger.
This video comes from the past like this recipe, Guga with hair and Angel longer hair and looks like tired from an overnight party. Excellent video. Saludos from Monterrey Mexico
I prefer this ad placement in this video. I wish you keep it on the next video.
Also I need to try that Sloppy Joe recipe
Great. Now I'm hungry , that "Sloppy Guga" looks delicious guys 🤙🏼
This looks so good. Egg has never really done it for me on a burger.
To each their own. It’s a natural for me!
🤢🤮 it's just wrong to as well.
Actually I know several places here that sell eggs on top of burgers, delicious
Loved to see a video like you used to do a few years ago.
That "Butter on the pan" got some "Butter of the gods" vibes while listening to it XD
Here's something I don't think you've tried:
Fermented Shrimp Paste.
Also known as BAGOONG in the Philippines and most southeast asian countries.
Commonly found in most asian supermarkets or well stocked asian sections in mainstream american supermarkets (ie not that hard to attain).
Perhaps try initially as a compound butter?
Or a dry aging method?
Or a marinade when putting into sous vide?
I'd be interested to see if you're down for trying, Guga.🤔
Have you made the compound butter then?? Is it good and worth making?
@@florentinaguggenheimer6557 yeah super tasty if you're into salty. Wanna see if guga makes any adjustments to make it even better.
@@-A-c sweet, I might try it someday
Italian that never had a sloppy joe, it seems an interesting way to use a beef ragout? Maybe one could add mushrooms, peppers and some stock beef broth in the mix?
Guga this recipe was fire. I probably over cheese it and watching you make the sauce I imagined a different flavor but it was good. I topped mine with toasted brioche runny egg and avocado. Delicioso
I always include some diced onion when cooking with ground beef.
Oh that looks tasty, great video, loved every second of it. Can you marinate a steak in some lawn grass? I wanna know if people are onto something when they tell me to touch grass.
It's so damn nice to see the emotion on guga's eyes...
cool to see guga advertising the same brand of eggs that i buy lol
how to improve any food: add an egg
i always watch your videos and be like, holy heck he has so much meat. you're the best bro! keep up the great work
Hey Guga! Try doing minced onions and bell pepper in with the ground beef, drain off the fat and then cook down a drained can of fire roasted tomatoes into it. Do all the other ingredients and seasonings you used. To have a sloppy joe with a bread and butter pickle and some cheese is to die for this way. It holds up a little bit thicker but damn it is good!
I'm from Germany and I've never seen that sandwich anywhere before. Need to try this out.
That’s a good looking sandwich, Guga. Mouthwateringly good looking. Great video today, as usual. Here’s another request for Squid Ink Dry Age.
Guga I need to see how this one goes. Try making a pizza steak. Not a pizza made out of a steak, but a pizza dry aged in either tomato paste or pizza sauce. Cooked in a mix of cheese and pepperoni (or salami) oil. Finished by wrapping it in pizza dough or puff pastry.
He has made a pizza steak before with Matt the Meat Guy. And Gordon Ramsay shitted on them 😂
Hello guga, I have an experiment that may interest you. It consists of using a lean cut (in this case, buttock), making it minced meat and adding fats from different sources.
The buttock will be very useful since its fat percentage is very low and it will not predominate with the added fats.
The fat must be added together with the minced meat and mix well so that they are integrated and in this way, convert a meat with 4% fat to 30% to make some burguers.
Buttock 1kg (or 2.2 Pounds): 3,83% Fat 96,17% Meat | 38,30g Fat and 961,70g of Meat
Buttock 30% Fat Formula:
Olive Oil: 283ml or 262g
Camel Fat: 262g
Wagyu Fat: 262g
Duck Fat: 262g
Eye round is also super lean and tough.
To answer Angel's question about why people don't eat sloppy joes. Sometimes when you eat something so much, it turns you off on eating it later in life. My husband won't eat sloppy joes as an adult. I bet that he would eat this version.
Hey Guga, I noticed when you season… you ALWAYS start with salt then pepper then garlic powder… here’s an experiment idea, does the ORDER in which you use you seasoning matter? Do you get a difference if you use pepper or garlic powder first?
Wow! Never been early before, this looks AMAZING. Will totally be trying this later
Dude I saw the thumbnail and initially thought yo that burger looks good, then I was like wait that's not a burger at all, and it turns out in fact to be a sandwich made of burgers 😮🤯😻
I haven't had a Sloppy Joe in AGES. Thanks for suggesting a meal for the next time I've got ground beef in the freezer.
First time I had a Sloppy Joe -type sandwich was on a trip to Finland over twenty years ago on the way back from a night out in town. The meat was served in a toasted French baguette with a bit of mayo and some pickled green chilies. And it was Mmm-Mmm-GOOD!
Years later I found a recipe for Sloppy Joes by happenstance and something clicked in my brain, sending my thoughts back to that trip to Finland. I made the meat blend and put it in a toasted baguette with some mayo and pickled chilies and was immediately sent back to that night out in Finland, many years earlier. Funny how the mind works!
@Guga, I saw you recently came to Texas for BBQ, how about you make a Texas favorite, chicken fried steak? You could even do an experiment with wagyu or other exotic and/or inexpensive meats. Also, making cream gravy for the Chicken fried steak is an art form. If anyone can do this, you can!!!!
I still make manwhiches when I'm in the mood for old school comfort food.
looks so good. hope to see you recreate the malaysian's famous ramlee burger
"sloppy guga" made me smile XD
Most of the time in canada we use mushroom soup in our sloppy joes with the ketchup and everything else!
you can just add Mustard bbq sauce with the katchup and brownsugar for an even fast way. Sweet Baby Ray's has a good Mustard BBQ sauce if you can find it!
Guga can you please make the best Venison steak ever?
I trace my eggs to the hen that laid the egg, as I know my hens by name. You can't believe the difference of home laid eggs and industrially laid once
You should try coating a steak in Snickers seasoning blend. Nobody has done it yet.
My go to Sloppy Joe is a combo of ground chuck and pork chorizo. Absolutely delicious.
Don't know why but I really like the guga-angel combo.
Gouda on a Sloppy Guga sounds like an awesome combination
Guga I have an idea trim a brisket, and dehydrate the fat you trim off and ground it up into powder, and use it to season that same fat to season the brisket
I haven't had a sloppy Joe since I was a kid. I forgot about these sandwiches, now I want to try this egg and cheese version!
I always put a little chipotle powder in my sloppy Joe mix! Adds great flavor!
Thank you for not using mayonnaise to toast the buns. Butter is king of toasting.
Also, Manwich is the 🐐! Plus, it’s a serving of vegetables 😂
Hi Guga, I watch your videos a lot with my work colleagues and we love them! Here is a challenge, you have made beef powder before, how about you make wagyu seasoning for instant noodles! Cheers from the Netherlands.
You have convinced me. I'll make my very first sloppy joe the next time I buy ground beef. Not the grill version though. Small moves!
Seems like growing up the main thing about sloppy joe's was using mustard with it.
Looks amazing.
One of my favorite additions to the sloppy joe is topping it with a few Doritos!
For those whove been following for a while it's really amazing how much angel has improved as a taster and guest/partner to guga in the videos. Used to be an annoying little twerp!!
Sloppy Joe's are considered "low rent" by many in the US, particularly among people that grew up in uppity households. And if you didn't get served one as a kid, there aren't many places an adult is going to run into one to try. I've never had one, but thanks to this video, I will make one for myself.
Ah haaa lol 🤣 appreciate y'all so much thank u for sharing learning something new everytime!!
Guga and his sandwishes! Wish I was there to try'em!
