The therapists only explained how sadness and anger are normal feeling and one copes with them to one's best ability. These twittrers took it as: "my therapist says it's normal to send death threats to JJ Abrams because I'm sad and angry. It's a valid coping mechanism." But this begs the question why were they seeing a therapist in the first place? Possibility 1: they were already in therapy for SW unrelated reasons. In which case I don't believe them that it's a normal reaction and response. Possibility 2: SW is actually responsible for this behavior. Like these people we're all hunky dory, levelheaded and suddenly one movie makes them go berserk. If that's the case these people have been emotionally neglected as children. No sane person goes to a therapist to ask what they're experiencing and the therapist says "well it's anger and sadness. Never heard of them? It's like joy and elation, but opposite."
