The last one was the mildest. They didn't arrest anyone. Can't tell how rough they were with her, but didn't seem terrible. I just don't know what they were expected to do aside from detain her. They believed the offender was still inside, and she was denying entry. So from their perspective, if they leave the offender would likely feel emboldened and they could be coming back the next day to investigate her body. The reason officers need to meet certain criteria to leave claims of a domestic situation is because it has happened before... where officers backed off and ended up coming back soon after for a post-mortem investigation. --- Now, as for the third story... it was the most brutal one. If I was there at the time, I'd probably be arrested for punching an officer in the face. They were making D&D murder hobo parties look gentle.
Cop: **makes an illegal U-turn across two lanes of traffic** **rear-ends you** **says it's because you were "following him too close" which is not illegal** **arrests you for "cussing" which ALSO isn't illegal** **lectures YOU about "acting like an adult"** **says he's being yelled at "for no reason"** **refuses to apologize for any of the above** **gets away with it**
"people with PTSD dont scream at people for no reason." You're absolutely right officer! Shes yelling because you conducted a bogus traffic stop and accused the driver of doing what YOU did. I struggle with videos like this. Cops shouldnt get chances. One report BAN from the force.
the situation with the last girl just pisses me off she even said "yall have bad reputation and I dont want none of that here" and guess what the cop showed up and immediately hurt her within seconds of getting there
In the state of Illinois its illegal for you to yell, cuss, have no cash, have no illegal substances, park, drive, walk, speak in general, drink at home, be home, own a firearm, be injuried, or to ask for higher authority
Are you allowed to do the following- be born? Cry? Have basic needs met? Be alive? Become dead? Just asking as those things typically happen in a person's lifetime.
@@staple_boithe point is he showed up to a domestic abuse situation and immediately popped off and assaulted the possible victim essentially physically abusing her even more. What officer in their right mind thinks this is an okay way to handle this situation?? There’s something mentally deformed in him and if he has a wife or significant other then god help them bc this man is most likely one of the monsters.
What I find more crazy is the fact that despite this rarely do they face punishment got to eliminate internal investigations because no shit they'll find no wrongdoing because they look after their own
First dude, id refuse to give the cop anything and report the traffic accident involving the cop. The cop at the time of the hit is no longer allowed to handle the stop and another uninvolved officer arrives on the scene. That first cop later refusing to identify then try to manufacture a charge to stick with him. The fact the department didn't own up and screwed them over shows a complete reform and purging of the officers with prejudice.
I feel bad for the last girl she really didn't want any of that BS and got denied as soon as the guy showed up. The female officer was a lot more steady and talking before anything else.
yea well thats why you listen to the cops, clearly the female officer was very respectful towards her only trying to help her. The officers had probable cause because they had just gotten a call about an alleged altercation, and then discovered a fresh scratch on her neck which probably wasn't a coincidence because she wouldn't answer where that was from. On top of that back-up was called because she was not cooperating and she was being a bum, so they were done playing back and forth but she tried interfering with the officers investigation and was moved aside slightly forcefully because she was resistant. People try to pull up all kinds of bs of how they know more about the law than the officers and do not listen, causing them to get themselves in more trouble. I will agree though that every other video shown besides the last one was absolutely not okay and the officers should have been delt with large consequences. They EVEN explained to her why they did what they did and her sister even agreed she was not cooperating. Nothing was wrong here. If anything goes wrong such as the officers not doing what they should be doing, bam lawsuit.
@@soul_18821so your perfectly fine with them man handling her like they did. Fine with them yelling at her to shut up? What about our 1st amendment? Back up called cause she is a bum? You seriously can’t call yourself an American if youre siding with cops on that one.
“Probable cause” may be one of the most dangerous phrases in our law books, because people use force when there’s “cause” to do so, even though the whole point of our original laws was to say “you have bad judgement, and need to Get In Line!”
That first one is a first ammendment violation. Dude ALL constitutional violations should result in a minimum 10 year sentence no matter what the circumstances.
Interesting how most countries having 5 to 10 times the duration of police training have less problems with police violence. Almost like there's a relation🤷♂
Are you forgetting how many cops get shot at? You wouldn't think that'd mess them up and make them anxious when they feel danger? Doesn't mean they should have ego trips but here in America cops die everyday and they kill everyday
This is why I have no respect for cops my uncle got beat in his front yard for literally parking his car as a black man. their story was there was a suspicious person parked in someone's yard.
Technically in the last video, the police did not have probable cause to enter her home, a scratch isn't a definitive sign of abuse, and someone calling the police doesn't provide probable cause either, so they did violate her 4th amendment rights, This is only compounded by the fact that they didn't find the man. I understand that she was being abused, however, the actions of the police in this situation could have made things worse by convincing her that if she seeks help, that she will be attacked, and abused, by the people she's reaching out to.
Maybe maybe not. It depends on whether the scratch was big enough to be probable cause to search the victims house. In this case it would probably take a while to decide whether or not they were allowed to go inside or not.
In a domestic violence call, the report is probable cause to search the residence. edit: for exactly why the cop said so, he actually only really messed up by failing to de-escalate the situation
@@alexanderdeis687 no, simply calling the police does not provide them with probable cause to search a person's residence, courts have to assume that the caller could be lying about the situation, as it's happened before where a person calls the police falsely accuses someone of something just to get the police to make contact with that person in hopes that something like this might happen. The only way of having any sense of probable cause is if the caller is willing to testify, and even that is questionable. Edit: even if they did have probable cause to enter the residence, and found the man, they would still need the victim to confess to the abuse to have probable cause to arrest the boyfriend. Perhaps the sister could've provided the probable cause in that circumstance, however, without the victim they would be forced to release him especially if that victim would protect him by providing a false statement. Remember they didn't make contact with the sister till they had already restrained the victim, and forced entry, which means the sister could not have provided probable cause to enter.

Is it any wonder that NO ONE trusts cops
The last one was the mildest. They didn't arrest anyone. Can't tell how rough they were with her, but didn't seem terrible.
I just don't know what they were expected to do aside from detain her. They believed the offender was still inside, and she was denying entry. So from their perspective, if they leave the offender would likely feel emboldened and they could be coming back the next day to investigate her body.
The reason officers need to meet certain criteria to leave claims of a domestic situation is because it has happened before... where officers backed off and ended up coming back soon after for a post-mortem investigation.

Now, as for the third story... it was the most brutal one. If I was there at the time, I'd probably be arrested for punching an officer in the face. They were making D&D murder hobo parties look gentle.

Cops need to arrest real violent people and not innocents
Anger issue and authority.
Never ends well.
@@alexanderdeis687 oh yeah i guess that makes sense
