Removing reluctor wheel on duramax

Switching reluctor wheel on duramax rebuilt the lmm engine using an lb7 block the truck would not start as the lb7 has one less tooth on the reluctor wheel and the computer was reading a faulty sensor code 2007

What year was that truck bud also why do they say you have to drop the transmission and the oil pan? Did you have to do any of that

2007 the engine is built with a 2001 block and 2007 heads and upper parts. To remove the upper oil pan the transmission has to be removed I was able to remove the reluctor wheel without doing that. I had just built the engine

why didn't you just pull that gear off before u tried unbolting it

It was easier to tap the gear off as the smaller gear kept bending and muffling the tapping force and had direct contact to tap it off its tight on there

all you had to is remove the ring on front and just push it out with large bar

It’s an Lb7 block with an Lmm upper engine the lb7 has a different amount of teeth so I put an Lmm wheel in it
