Some people say auditors haven't made a difference. This is one of the best 1a audits I have seen. This officers did the right thing and I'd bet much of his education comes from watching 1a auditors. He uses the same words.
Should she have known better? Yes. Does she deserve a second chance? Yes. She was mostly reasonable and cool-headed. Upon receiving the correct information from the police, she complied with the FOIA.
Hats off to officer Krejci for understanding our right without the need to “make sure” first. But kudos to this department for checking up the chain of command rather than make a mistake. Big props to the police in this locality.
