What Kind of Learner Are You? QUIZ

- čas přidán 20. 03. 2022
- Have you ever wondered how you learned things differently? This quiz can help determine your preferred learning style. There are 4 types of learning styles: auditory, visual, kinesthetic, and reading and writing. There’s no right or wrong answer and it’s not a test of knowledge. The results are based on what your learning style is, so take it only if you want to know!
Disclaimer: Research on learning styles suggests that, although people do have their preferences, there’s insufficient research to prove that people learn better with their preferred learning style (more on this at the end of the quiz). This quiz is also just for fun, so please don’t take it too seriously or as professional advice.

I'm a tie between reading/writing and visual. Also, the animation is amazing! Love all the Minecraft references!
Glad you like the animation and reference :) Thanks for sharing your type!!
Same here! ^^
I had many that I heard visual first and thought it was that, then nope reading
same :)
HAHAHAHAH same
ive always been a visual learner and a little bit of a reading/writing learner, and this quiz really hit the nail on the head
same for me :)
Me too! :)
I belong in here ☺️
Same but in reverse as in I’m mostly reading/writing and a bit of visual.
Samee but I think I'm equally both
In school they always only listed "Visual, auditory, kinesthetic" . As a writing/reading learner Im glad this video included that type.
its crazy that they wouldnt include the writing/reading learner since school is literally built focused around that learning style, and also somewhat built for auditory.
I always got so stressed when I was asked this question by teachers all the time, because I had no idea how I learnt. But this really really helped and I now feel like I fit into the reading and writing style of learning! (kinda unsurprisingly for me lmao). Thanks, Psych2Go!
Exact story lol sometimes i used to forget how I even prepared for exams but then it's just the usual reading it
SAME!!
I focus better when I am writing/ sometimes not even properly paying attention. I am a quick learner so it doesn't take me long to grasp hold of things. Plus, I LOVE reading and writing since a young age and have wanted to be an author since the age of 5
this says I'm a reading/writing learner n I think that's actually p accurate, tho I think I'm a bit of all of them lol, but writing n reading is definitely the main part
Same here
Everyone is a bit of all of them that’s the cool part
Same
Same I think I'm also reading and writing but the main part is Visual learner

I'm a reading/writing learner which makes so much sense. I always seem to remember stuff better when I read or write it down and I always hated it when we had visuals instead of words because then I understood nothing, same when we had tests where someone was telling us the questions audibly because I had to ask them too many times to repeat what they said to somewhat understand it
I feel like a mix of visual and kinesthetic, but that might also be because physically interacting with something gives me a visual to memorise along with a memory of doing something. Also part of the reason Im really good with wiring diagrams and actually connecting the wires.
Same!
Same here!
My test was full of As and Ds and that definitely checks out. I have always learned best visually and hands-on (kinesthetic). I love learning and I make a point of learning a new skill each year.
This was fun!!!
Yes!
That sounds fun! What are some of the skills that you’ve learned over the years?
I’m the same way : )
@@Sumaiya_Islam that’s such a kind question. Thank you. Okay, last year, I learned mask making from clay molds. I made a plague mask. The year before that, I learned how to spin yarn from raw wool and a drop spindle. Other recently acquired skills are needle felting, pour painting, and watercolor painting. I’m currently learning amigurumi, using the yarn that I blended and spun myself. I like to keep myself busy.
Mine was 1a 1b 8d. Hence I think it makes sense why I can only score well when practicals are available for the subject.
As a pre med student and someone dedicated to learning new languages I like that think of myself as a life long learner and knowing how you learn truly makes it breaks the learning experience. Through trial and error I’ve learned that I’m mainly a visual and audio learner ☺️
Hey! I have seen you in Abao's channel a lot. Glad to know that you are a medico too, I am also preparing for my medical college entrance exams next year. I hope you succeed :)
I was not even that surprised that I got visual. It makes sense for me because I love to do art and sketching, and if I ever tried to listen to an audio book, five seconds later I'd forget what it said. I just really like looking a vibrant things, and when I added posters to my wall and organized my crafted stuff with merch from games on a shelf, I realized I really enjoyed the artistic look it gave my room.
A - 3, B - 2, C - 2, D - 3
I guess I’m just great at learning in general! Nothing is stronger for me than the other, it seems. Although I do prefer listening, discussion, and actually doing over other methods like note taking, memorization, or reading.
That's a good thing, you can learn in a variety of different ways
I got the same score as well and was honestly surprised!
(But then again now that I think about it maybe that’s why people think I’m smart, lol)
@@roxiethecockapoo1138 Yeah, I'd say it's a decent thing. Although I am capable of learning in each way, I don't excel greatly at any either. That means that if a teacher or mentor doesn't provide multiple, it's harder for me to learn.
30%visual learner
50%auditory learner
10%writing reading learner
10%kinesthetic learner
A reading and writing learner is definitely me! I always find it hard to remember what someone has taught me through a presentation or speech but whenever I get the chance to read up on something or someone tells me or teaches me something interesting my brain just suddenly wants to remember it all. Because of this I have memorized a lot AND I MEAN A LOT about different subjects that I love. I used to hate math but as I’ve been taught more about it and I’ve read up on how certain problems work I’ve become better at it and actually like it now, though I’m not the best at it of course and I’m still pretty bad at solving equations but I’m getting there. Anyways point is that I can’t learn properly unless my teachers talk to me one on one or I’m able to ask questions and they answer them properly and also give me material to read and study.
I’ve never been good with reading comprehension and listening to lectures so the fact that I’m a visual kinesthetic learner definitely makes sense
The fact I completely understood the reference images on the first book. Evelvaii really pulled a nostalgic move for a certain community
visual/reading-writing which makes sense to me. I learn everything through watching, reading, and, on occasion, tinkering with something. And I always have. I learned a lot by playing games and reading books. And when I have something to simply listen to, it fades into the background, and I don't absorb the information well without specifically focusing on it.
I'm always been a visual learner because I pick up on things by watching and observing people. Psych2Go, can you please make a video on living in sheltered environments and how it affects a person's life?
ive always been a hands on learner due to my learning disabilities. its much easier to understand something/how so and so works/etc when its happening right in your hands because of what you did to it.
I watch videos like this the day before the test. Keeps the stress out.
This was soooo interesting!
I always knew I learnt best by traditional methods, so I thought I was a visual learner, but ends up I had the name wrong.
I'm a writing/reading learner through and through! I was thinking that, when it comes to cooking, I'm more hands down, but in the end, I only let myself try new stuff and experiment because I have already read some things about ingredients and their functions, and so I allow myself to test them irl. But the reading part comes first, always.
My answers were tied between A and C,and now its even clearer why my favourite form of entertainments are visual novels (and why I learnt a lot of new things from them)
I was actually looking for the way I learn best. This video tells me I am a visual and writing/reading learner. This is so accurate. Thank you very much.
I like how I’m a little bit of reading, auditory and kinesthetic but not visual whatsoever because I get overwhelmed by visual things sometimes
I love your voice it’s so soothing. 😭
thats good to hear
💯
I'm somewhat in-between a visual and writing/reading learner. I like to memorize topics by reading, but I love making my own visual images from those words. That's why I mostly read books that have descriptive settings and I can visualize them vividly. My learning style is definitely influenced by my ADHD, as I just forget whatever I just listened to (most of the time), meaning auditory learning is out of the question.
My Results - CAACABABAA:

I’m a visual learner!! Definitely makes sense with my experience; drawings and graphs help the most when revising :)
I have 3As, 3Bs, 4Cs! Reading and writing is definitely my main learning style, I also enjoy learning visually and by listening, too! This is a great quiz 👍
A slow one.
wow, that video was so helpful! i'm trying to find out the best way to pass my tests this year lmao. y'all are very creative. keep up with the good work
Man this quiz is on the spot on I thought I was a visual learner all along your life, but I’m more towards working on my hands, experimenting with my hands on stuff more and I realize I am a kinesthetic learner
Oh myyy!! I was not expecting the most accurate answer after the disclaimer at the beginning…but this is soooo accurate ✨
Thank you for making me know I’m not abnormal in reading 😹
Im definitely a mix of both kinesthetic and reading/writing. I love reading the information to get it into my brain but then want to get hands on and do it myself to retain that info.
I was looking though the chat and haven’t seen many kinesthetic and reading & writing learners. I’m happy to know that there is at LEAST someone who got the same score.
Your videos make my day better, whenever I have a question about myself, you guys are the best source of information. Plus the narrator's voice is calm and relaxing. Keep up the good work guys!! :)))
At school children laughed at me because I liked learning. Now I am 41 years of age and I still like learning. Thanx for being here!
I've always been a visual and reading/writing learner so this was pretty accurate!
I got three Bs and seven Cs. So according to that I’m a reading and writing learner, and it’s one hundred percent me. I’m a moderately hyperlexic person who started reading books at the age of three, and I’ve always been very good at absorbing information via reading it.
I do like writing and find it to be useful as well, although I actually prefer typing over physical writing since I’m not able to write for a long time without physical pain. I broke my dominant wrist in two places when I was twelve, and I haven’t been able to handle writing for a while without pain since before that.
I needed this thanks
I got mostly C, and I LOVE reading and writing. I started reading when I was 2, so that makes 100% to me. Good job!
As someone who is neurodivergent, I need a different learning style for different things. Sometimes I even need more than one or all of them! It’s a struggle but I manage 😊
I guess I'm both a reading/writing learner and a visual learner since I got the same amount of A's as I did C's and honestly it's so accurate omg
I was just taking quizzes on this 10 minutes ago, you guys are scary 😭😭
we can read your mind!
I’m definitely a visual learner. Learning through demonstrations and mainly visual things make it easier to remember.
im a visual and kinesthetic learner. really spot on. i think its the reason why i do better in offline school especially bio and physic. been failing it since im in online but i thrive during offline
When you hear the word "dog" what comes to mind?
Me: 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭
Yay! Another quiz! Also I’m a visual learner, like I predicted
🌞
I'm a tie between auditory listener and reading and writing learner, which is very true.
In class i tend to listen to everything and write everything down on my paper and later read it.
The content is so relevant to what I am covering in class. Hope you will expand to multiple intellegences and mnemonics. Thank you so much
I loved this! Thank you for being so encouraging and kind as a PSA at the end of the video. Amazing channel!
I got 3xA, 3xB, 2xC and 2xD. I'm all over the place hahaha. It actually depends a lot on what I have to learn. I studied literature and learned the best when I listened in class, wrote down notes and repeated them at home by reading them out loud. As an athlete I learned a lot by observing and trying different techniques myself.
same for me except 3x A,B,C and 1x D
I am a visual learner and that explains a lot.
I'm a mix of reading/writing and audible learner
Very relatable!!
Suggestion: Hi psych2go!! i love your videos sm!! so I was wondering if you could do a video talking about OCD? (obsessive compulsive disorder, I think?)
I have that and it's really hard for me to cope with it a lot of the time
and also OCD (Obsessive Cleaning Disorder) which it also linked to perfectionism and always wanting everywhere to be neat and perfect,
I hope you take this suggestion into consideration! thank you!
Hi ! They’ve already made a few videos on the several types of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, just look up on CZcams “Psych2Go OCD” and it’ll pop right up .
I’m not sure they’ll make own about Obsessive Cleaning Disorder though given that it’s not something that exists in the DSM. I think the current videos on OCD will help a lot though , they’ve been really validating to me being someone who struggles with OCD that involves intrusive thoughts (not the type always described as cleaning). I hope this helps !
@@lorela9723 OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH YOURE SO SWEET AND I HOPE YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OCD, ITS REALLY HARD BUT I BELIEVE IN YOU
I think I am an experience-based learner, a kinesthetic learner according to psych2go. I learn new skills most efficiently when I am actively practising them. I have an extremely hard time recalling raw information and numbers I struggled because of this for most of my school life. But I eventually learned to adapt my learning style and get good in academics. I started teaching what I had learned to my classmates and juniors and this changed my life. Now I read and take notes on what I will teach the next day and give detailed lectures on the subject. This way I remember information for a long time and after doing enough lectures my memory becomes as solid as rock. One Bear Grills quote helped me get through all this,'' IMPROVISE ADAPT AND OVERCOME''. I also use a memory palace and chaining methods to link and recall information. If you are having a hard time learning new things try to adapt your learning style to your needs. And remember the world changes for no one so we must adapt to it if we want to survive.
I’m a reading and writing learner. When it’s face to face classes I’m often annoyed by teachers who would tell me to “listen” and don’t take notes, when it’s hard for me to just listen without taking notes or looking at some words that best describe what they’re teaching me.
I knew beforehand that I was a reading learner, but it's great to know that this helped solidify that, (since of course I was honest the whole way through)
Broke even on A,B and D. So I guess I’m not so equipped for learning through writing but excel at the other forms of learning. Pretty interesting.
Not me doing this so I can try to be more productive with work
1. I love books with a mix of descriptive settings and small amounts of illustrations (ex. a picture before each chapter)
2. I work best when someone shows me how to do a task/an assignment through actions
3. Watching videos and movies (ex. D&D campaigns, game playthroughs, video reviews, music videos)
4. I read my notes aloud to myself
5. A dog playing
6. I prefer to watch a person or an instructional video
7. Reading (not articles but reading in general)
8. Noises
9. Find a map somewhere and study it
10. A, B & C (NOT D)
Hands-on learner and have always been. Less talked-about than visual and reading/writing. I feel like it tends to go with adhd but not always.
I got 3 A’s, 3 B’s, 1 C, and 3 D’s.
I would say I am a mix of A, B, and D, so I’d say that’s accurate 👍✨
"Number One... Whats your favorite book?"
As my spine starts to bend backwards and my legs falls off
I honestly need all three or four. On traditional quizzes to test this I tie on all three but in this one I got auditory, which I don’t agree with. My reasoning: I just don’t like to rely on visuals, what I listen to, or what I do hands on, etc, I like to focus on how the whole builds together. This is why I don’t generally need to study since I learn so well things I like at least. The reasons I like the people speaking is that they have passion for their work and make me listen.
That was very helpful, thank you!
Glad this helps! Which type did you get?
I couldn't decide on a few of the questions, and after tallying up my scores, everything came up even! I guess I am a mix of all of the four main learning styles, but I think it depends on the situation. I have a little experience as a Barista, and I can think of at LEAST two learning styles I used that helped me. I am a visual and kinesthetic learner when it comes to making each beverage, but very much a reading and writing type person when it comes to other aspects of the job, such as the recipes for each beverage and how hot each drink should be prepared to. It's hard for me to pick just one learning style that best fits me!

i thought no one noticed it
I'm definitely a hands on learner. I have to actually do what I'm trying to learn with some guidance from those with more knowledge on the subject
I actually love your channel and I always watch your videos every night. In total,I have 3a,1b,3c,3d but I think that being a visual learner is exactly what describes me the most. I actually love math and on March 14 2023 will be the World Mathematics Day. One of my favourite topics about math is statistics where you use graphs to better understand the data that is represented.
Q) What distracts you the most when studying??
Me - *All of the above*
I've been a visual learner my whole life, and it's something I've had to understand and continually refine over time to not only get the high grades in school that I have today, but also to find ways to learn what I'm hearing about even when the material isn't presented in a glamorous way. It's one of the many reasons why paintball has been my favorite sport for almost 8 years now; nothing requires more of all of my brain power than shooting my opponents down and trying to survive. If I don't, I'm greeted promptly with green, pink, yellow, blue, whatever the paintball filling is for that day. XD
I'm apparently a visual and reading and writing learner. It fits. I do so love my words and books and movies.
My style is visual one, and i do agree that i like the visualization method, through i also noticed that reading and repeating the information works best for me.

Love this one !
Basically, for me it depends on the condition or the situation at hand.
If I have, for example, an unknown object about which I don't know anything about or how it works, then I'll probably just tinker around to see what's the purpose of the object. But if already have an instruction manual at hand, I'll just read it thoroughly to learn about the object.
Other times when if I have the choice of reading some stuff about a topic, or watching a video on CZcams, I'll choose to go with CZcams. If not, I am still pretty good at learning through just reading. So, it just depends.
I got reading and writing learner which is actually 100% accurate.

@@Cliffordlonghead HAHAHA
Hello
I'm a visual learner. Thanks for the video.
I am full of As and Ds, visual and physical interfaces help me the most. But because I have a terrible short term memory (and good long term memory), I write lots of stuff down (on paper! Almost never on a phone note!) to study them until they make it into the long term memory. It's amazing how complicated the workings of a human brain are
It got tied between A and C, so I'm a visual learner yet also writing and reading learner.
I think C is more closer to my learning style.
Thankyou for the test btw, It was fun!
I'm mostly reading and writing , but I also mix in auditory learning , and sometimes draw concepts and make my own diagrams to explain things
I kinda do all of them, sometimes at the same time to argue a point back to myself until i come to a solid conclusion. Then its learned.
i'm a tie between a visual, reading and writing, and kinesthetic learner! looks like i learn in lots of ways
I got a reading and writing learner and that definitely fits me but I learn way better when I watch, figure out and try myself!
im actually almost equally split between how many times i choose c and b, and i definitely do think im an auditory learner and reading/ writing learner
I float between auditory and writing/reading. Because I love audiobooks and can retain some information once it’s told to me, but I also do better with reading directions.
I’m reading and writing. I just bought 9 new journals. Can’t wait to use them. Hardest thing will be trying to decide which one to use first. And I’m trying to make my own as well! Slow going!
I'm a reading/writing learner but I also love hands on activities
A-3 B-0 C-7 D-0
I am definitely mostly a reading and writing learner with a bit of visual!
mostly a & d and honestly it’s very accurate.
After I took my quiz, most of my answers were auditory learning, and my second most was kinesthetic learning.
No wonder I remember things a lot more in auditory form.
I definitely am a reading/writing learner. Writing it down helps me remember
Great video! I had a tie between A (3) and B (3) which makes sense since I love talking out loud to memorize things while pictures help me visual and understand concepts easier!
I’m tied with reading and writing and kinesthetic learner. I’m very hands on with things and can probably figure it out by being near it.
This says I'm a kinesthetic learner,it makes sense, I've always learned better doing things hands on
I'm like a visual learner in math and art, but a reading/writing in everything else.
I got a's and I can say that diagrams help me a lot, but I usually re-write my notes to make them look nice and fun
I am very well-rounded.
A3, B2, C3, D2.
I'm glad you put in the disclaimer that people don't tend to perform any better when information is conveyed in their preferred learning style.
As Stanislas Dehaene puts it, "...as amazing as it may be, there is no research showing that children differ radically in their preferred learning modality. What is true is that some teaching strategies work better than others-but when they do, it applies to all of us, not just a subgroup. For instance, experiments show that we have an easier time remembering a picture than a spoken word, and that our memory is even better when the information is conveyed by both modalities-an audiovisual experience. Again, this is the case for all children. There is simply no evidence in favour of the existence of subtypes of children with radically different learning styles, such that type-A children will learn better with strategy A, and type-B children with strategy B. For all we know, all humans share the same learning algorithim." (How We Learn: A New Science of Education and the Brain, 2021, pg. 185/186.)
Veritasium put out a video a few months ago on this topic as well, so I'd recommend giving that a view as well. Forgive me if this seems a dour post, but I just felt it important to let it be known, and I nonetheless thank you for the work you put into making this video!
