    Hi, does the safe notify you when the batteries are running low?

    • @peachstatephilosophy8682

      I haven’t seen a notification. I change the batteries out at the beginning of every year to make sure I can get in it if needed.

      I started having issue with the lock not unlocking after entering the correct pin. Changed the battery and it fixed the issue. Not sure if that a good notification. This was about 4 years after I originally bought it. So battery lasted a pretty good time

      @@JavierG26868 same thing just happened to me. My pin wouldn’t work all of a sudden until I changed the batteries. This was after 2 years. I thought it would notify you if the batteries were dying

      I do not know how to get in. There were videos on CZcams about people picking the locks on the older models, but not sure about this one. You may be able to get another key from the manufacturer or a local locksmith if the lock has a number on it.

    Can this be used in a car with a cable?

    • @peachstatephilosophy8682
      @peachstatephilosophy8682  Před 2 lety

      I have taken the safe with me when traveling, but did not secure it to the car. There are two holes on the bottom of the safe for mounting in a desk drawer or onto a surface with screws or bolts. You could run a cable through the holes on the bottom, but not sure how it would work if the safe is sitting flat in the car. An option could be making additional holes in the back of the safe to run a cable through. Make sure to de-bur the hole and paint or treat the metal afterward to prevent corrosion. I have not modified the safe in any way for my use. Hope this helps

    How do I turn my beep back on

    • @peachstatephilosophy8682
      @peachstatephilosophy8682  Před 3 lety

      The safe in my video has a sound button on the bottom right you press and hold to turn the beep sound on and off. Some of the older safes use *663 to turn the beep off and *66 to turn it on. If it's a biometric fingerprint safe, hold a pre-programmed fingerprint on the sensor for 10 seconds to turn the sound on/off. Hope that helps and you enjoy using our safe!

      @@peachstatephilosophy8682 You said you forgot to change the batteries once. What was the outcome? I'm locked out and the battery is dead. 🙁

    • @peachstatephilosophy8682

      I had the backup key that came with the safe to open it and change the batteries. If the key is lost, there are some videos about using a paperclip to open the safe. I tried it once to see how easy it was to use the paperclip, but I was not able to open the safe that way.

    • @Kristina_617
      @Kristina_617 Před 3 lety +1

      @@peachstatephilosophy8682 I tried that as well, I guess it was a different model that was able to be opened with a paperclip. Got it open today. (With a sledgehammer, beat the top in).
      Thank you for getting back to me!

      Your welcome. Wish it would have worked out differently, but I have had to do that in the past to a different safe
