      Use the key to open the door, change the batteries, and then push the red button, after the beep(s), enter your new combination and the # sign, shut the door and lock it, wait 10-15 seconds, and enter new combination and when the green light comes on it should open.

  • @mauryhatcher

    This safe will work fine for about a year, then the keypad will die, either the keypad will stop responding entirely, or you'll get the low battery light constantly even with new batteries and be unable to input a new code via the code reset button , or the keypad will just be dead in some areas, these are the things I've experienced myself and with a couple people I know who have them as well. Taking out the batteries and just using the key will still work however, but the door is not very secure against forced entry either. I highly suspect these safes' electronics are made on the absolutely cheapest and lowest quality manufacturing line they could find to offer these safes at the price they do.

      Devin Nunes' Cows Brother what a horrible experience to have to go through and I’m glad you was able to get your gun back and out of that sorry excuse of a safe. I’m happy you are safe and was not harmed because of this junk product!

    How do I mute the keypad after a battery change?

    • @phlooke
      @phlooke Před 3 lety +2

      Just changed my batteries this week as well in my safe and completely forgot how loud the keypad beeps were since i haven't heard them in years and put 4 NiMh rechargeable batteries in mine since after moving to a new house noticed battery acid had leaked all over the inside and just about ruined the battery compartment. thank god rechargeable batteries don't leak battery acid and last years longer.
      Anyways, to mute the obnoxiously loud keypad beeps you type in your passcode code followed by * to unlock it as you normally would. Now that its open or unlocked then wait 5-10 seconds for the keypad to turn itself off. Then you enter the code *633. Keypad will now be muted and only light up the LED light after pressing each button.
      if for some reason you begin to miss the keypad "beep". Press *66 to turn on

      @@gbinman No problem. I'm glad I was able to help at least one person. I was bummed as well it wasn't covered in this video. But after some searching I finally found the original owner's manual PDF file online, and even the manual didn't have these directions... then happened to find it in a very old forum posting.
      Since it's a discontinued model, I figured the least I could do is point a few people in the right direction as there is no way someone would just randomly guess those super specific directions haha.

      @@RJ_Cormac Sorry for the late response, just saw your comment.
      Does your safe have a fingerprint scanner next to the keypad?
      I actually have 3 separate safes that are all different, but 2 of them have the A and B buttons just like the one you're describing where you press "B" after entering your code, and then the "A" button acts as a backspace button...but since one of the my 2 models also has the option to program any debit card/hotel card etc (any card in your wallet that has a black magnetic strip can be used) I guess I haven't needed to use the keypad in a while that have the A/B as I just programmed an old hotel key that I use to unlock it.
      Let me know if you have the model # of your safe , or if it's similar to one of the 2 I just described and I can def probably help ya out with muting your keypad (if you haven't already found out how)

    If batteries died, take off the stack on cover plate and under is the key slot. Find key or pick it.
    Press red button to reset code. Press it once and it’ll beep. Then you enter whatever code “12345” and then # to lock in the new code.
    Now who knows how to turn off the sound or has the manual for me

    When the batteries die, and there is no key, this joke of a "safe" can be opened by using a rubber mallet: czcams.com/video/jaLtT0XM0cE/video.html
    I first contacted Stack On requesting a replacement key, had to send a notarized copy of my driver's license - then was told the company was out of key blanks, and no key will be provided.

    • @loganbakley9716
      @loganbakley9716 Před 3 měsíci

      A little late, but this may help someone in the future. When the battery dies, you will need to use your key to get into the safe. Remove the plate in the front between the knob and the buttons. It says, “Stack-On.” That will expose the keyhole. At this point, you can use your key to open the safe. Be careful with the dead batteries as they are most likely corroded with battery acid. Use gloves or something to prevent getting the acid on your skin and remove the batteries. Use a battery acid cleaner to remove the corrosion before putting your new batteries in. Make sure you change them every two to three years in the future.
