Mine was very low audio on ios 16.5.1. Need to cover the main speaker so I can hear the earspeaker

Mine didnt work - but turning on 'hearing aid compatibility' i can hear it very low. without this option on i cannot hear anything from the ear speaker - only from the main loud speaker if i choose that - help?!

After update 17.3.1 my ear speaker still works but the sound is very low. The volume is at max but still it sounds like someone is yelling in the distance 😒
