I have a iPhone 8 and When I receive phone calls I can barely hear them and I can barely hear someone if I’m talking without speakerphone with speakerphone I can hear them but without it I can’t with speaker do I need to replace? Is that the ear speaker of the loudspeaker? Thank you

Excellent video, my problem was solved by changing audio routing to speaker. Close to a dozen videos I watched earlier did not suggest this solution.

I went through all the settings several times and nothing changed except (Resetting all Settings) described in #10 and it worked like a charm for my iPhone 11! Easy, and fast! Now I can hear a normal conversation without using speaker phone. Thanks!

I thought I was going insane with the low volume when listening to a phone call . I called Verizon and Apple to no avail. Why is this so complicated? Who is designing these complicated, complicated features nobody needs while removing the whole purpose of a phone call: to hear the person who is calling. You are amazing for sharing! Thank you!

My iPhone 7 top speaker doesn’t work with music or any videos except for calls is that normal because I hear the tiniest buzz from it like it wants to play music but it can’t also looked like it has a indent like say a ramp on both side and the bottom speaker puts out more sound on call then the top

I did everything but it didn’t work for me
i find its alot easier to clean the power port by hold the phone with the back facing you, as this makes it so the pins are facing upwards, and while cleaning, it prevents from accidentally damaging those pins. just something i do all the time.

In the end, it was the rubbing alcohol and QTip that did it for me 🤙

@@macjohnsokoto3614 use a QTip with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean the speaker. It’s the last part of the video. Turn the phone off beforehand.
I tried everything and eventually cleaning the ear speaker with my daughter’s old toothbrush with fine bristles did work for me.😅

My iPhone 12 ear speaker was working just fine both bottom and ear speakers,all of a sudden it just went super low and I factory reset my phone and it did not work my ear speaker is super low apple needs to do a software fix for this,NOTE:I just bought the iPhone 12 😢

I tried all the steps but not step 10 cause I dont have back up device. Still not working in my iphone 6s
Take a few pieces of tape and work them into the grove where the speaker is located for a few seconds. Then pull the tape off slowly and that will pull out most lint and debris that generally block the tiny holes that let the sound out. I had the same problem and after a few times everything came out and my sound was back to normal

I took my iPhone to authorised service centre yesterday and they cleaned the speakers with some air machine nd now it’s working like new
Most of these are not fixes-- like putting key in ignition because you car wouldn’t start is not a fix
Look I hate that I can’t hear on my iPhone, but to be honest we all shouldn’t be holding the phone to our ears anyway so get you a Bluetooth and listen that way… to many studies saying using the cell phone and having it close your brain is not good at all

Happened with the iPhone 6+ during iOS 9 (Betas) Your local cheap phone repair shop can’t even fix it because the chip welding replacement is a more expensive fix than the units worth, and that’s if you can find the correct qualified person to do it!!!

For me the hearing aid activation worked but the sound is still at a low volume like 30-40% from the normal volume. With hearing aid disabled i hear nothing. Will try all te rest if the solutions, it seems to be a software problem. Thank you!!
