This song is a masterpiece. Many people didn't liked this side of Taylor, but I liked it cuz it showed that betrayal, humiliation and negative media can change even the kindest of people. This song and her album "Reputation" broke every record in the history of charts and records. Just love this era. The car scene is said to be about Katy cuz of some similarities. And all those versions of her are from her music videos or live performances. The one Taylor which is holding a mic in the end? In that, Kanye West humiliated her in front of the world. But, as the song says, "she got smarter and harder in the nick of time". Loved your reaction. Can you react to "You Need To Calm Down" by her? That's a really interesting song.
Fun fact: Fifth Harmony and Shawn Mendes opened her 1989 tour(her album before reputation) and then Camila toured with her on the reputation tour as a solo artist and Shawn opened a few shows of the same tour!

Well, she sure looks like Katy in the bashed up car holding a Grammy (which Katy has never won). But yeah, the whole thing is not Katy-centric. I also wondered if the bathtub scene was about the guy she sued for grabbing her ass during a photo shoot. She sued him (and won) for $1, and there is a one dollar bill in the tub.
Bad Blood is all Katy, and yes most of this video is about Kim & Kayne but there were plenty of references to Katy too. Car crash in car from Katy’s video while she’s holding a Grammy, which Katy doesn’t have. She even done up to look like Katy in that video.

Look what you made me do was about all the drama in her life (people complaining over her model friends, people saying that she was fake and calling her a snake because of Kim and Kanye posted a video of her) and yes some of it is about Katy BUT they're friends now, it's in the past.

The song, which is an aural burn book of all of Swift’s past (and current) critics, takes aim at several of her more high-profile detractors with lines like “I don’t like your tilted stage” (a possible jab at West’s tilted stage on his Saint Pablo tour) and moments like her faux phone call announcing that “the old Taylor is dead,” reminiscent of her recorded call with the rapper.
1. scene: zombie taylor (in ootw dress) digs the 2014 Met Gala taylor a grave next to the tombstone that had the name Nils Sjoberg written on it. Nils Sjoberg was the pseudonym that Swift used for a songwriting credit on her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris’ 2016 summer hit, “This Is What You Came For.” When it was revealed that Swift was, in fact, the creative mind behind the single, some short-lived drama ensued, with Harris slamming his ex gf on twitter.
2. scene: taylor lies in a tub filled with diamonds and perls. One thing that stands out most is the single dollar bill in a bathtub full of diamonds. Her decision to bathe in jewels and not money - but to feature a single dollar bill was a very calculated one. Swifties speculate that the single bill represents the $1 she was awarded after she won her sexual assault case against former radio DJ David Mueller. (you can also spot some necklaces on the floor spelling out a big NO).
3. scene: in the big snake/palace room you can read 'et tu brute' on the pillars and the armrest on her throne if you look closely. It appeares to be a reference to being stabbed in the back by former friends à la Caesar.
A snake serves Taylor tea, a clear nod to the idea of Swift “serving tea” with the symbol-laden music video.
When you pause the video and count the amount of snakes obeying to her you will notice that there are only 12 present, which probably signifies that taylor is the 13th snake (as she was called by kim kardashian after the famous phone call).
4. Taylor crashes her car while she is holding a Grammy and the paparazzi get thousands of shots of her, which represents how growing up with everyone knowing every little detail of your life (including failures) is very hard, and how the media only ever focuses on the bad things happening in her life (car crash) to make a headline out of it, while ignoring all the positive sides (her winning a Grammy).
one could probably talk forever and ever about the meaning behind different scenes and symbols, but as miss swift said herself 'the day is probably never going to come that you find all of the easter eggs in lwymmd!'.
i think it's really amazing how her music vids are just LOADED with meaningful stuff.
so if you are interested in learning more about the details i would recommend watching one of the yt videos where they explain every easter egg (and for ...rfi? too :)).
Some of that is right, some wrong. You have to be a diehard Swiftie from the beginning of her career to understand every reference and then watch the video 50 times. There are around 30 specific/ deliberate Easter eggs in this video. It is insane. All of Taylor's videos/ songs have some personal meanings/experiences to them. Most are hers but some are things her friends are going thru. This video is EPIC!

i don't understand why you mentioned so much of Katy lmao they didn't even fight that bad. it was ended with an apology and they made up already. It's about Kanye, which Taylor claim she could never forgive him (cause she did once, yet he did once again)
The many Taylors at the end all show many version of Taylor:
- "You Belong With Me" Taylor who was mocked for being surprised at everything (she was laughed at for being surprised even if she won so many awards already)
- "Speak Now tour" Taylor who said "Stop acting like you're all nice, you are so fake" was what Taylor had been told when she was younger, as she had always tried to be the nice girl.
- Zombie Taylor wearing "Out Of The Woods" dress, saying "don't call me that (bitch)" a jab at Kanye's line in his Famous song, "i made that bitch famous". Taylor was pissed because of the line, and Kanye claimed that he's got Taylor's permission.
- "Getting receipts, gotta edit this later" Kanye's wife, Kardashian leaked an illegally recorded and edited phone call of Taylor giving 'permission'. # taylorisoverparty was trending and Taylor went into hiding for a year. The full recording was leaked last month, which shows that Taylor was disturbingly manipulated into giving a word of permission, however it wasn't to the line mentioned. In the recording, Kanye told Taylor a different line, and Taylor was like "oh that's not mean, i thought you're gonna call me a dumb bitch or something" and that part was only heard in the full recording.
- 2009 VMA Taylor holding the mic, represented Taylor's first encounter with Kanye which started everything between her and him: "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative"

There is a lot to take in, Look What You Made Do, is about outing all the rats, or maybe snakes would be better. At the beginning she sings I don't like your tilted stage as she straightens the tombstone, that is referenced to Kanye's tilted stage he sings on. Also one of the headstones has a name on it, the one she wrote under a different name, when she wrote the lyrics for a song her then boyfriend Clavin Harris sang and claimed she didn't have anything to do with it. But overall it is about Kayne, the car crash was a dig at Katy Perry, did you notice Taylor holding a Grammy, Katy has yet to get one. But at the end where all the Taylors from her previous music videos, the one that was Katy, was also Kim K. where she said she was adding receipts and was going to edit them later, that was in reference to the tapes that Kayne and Kim edited. There is so much more, it would take all night.
